Taxi for Torres - judas fecks off to chelsea

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Torres shld just come out and make himself clear once and for all. He owes it to us for making him a better player than when he was at Atletico. I'll be extremely disappointed if he refuses to commit. This is the moment when a player’s loyalty is put to the test. This is the time for a player to show how much he loves the club and the fans. It’s useless to keep repeating “I love the club, I love the fans” everyday. Talking is cheap; I only believe in action. Torres, c’mon show us how much u love the club!

PS: This is not a plea for Torres to stay. And I’m not saying he is definitely thinking of leaving – I’m giving him the benefit of doubt. I’m just disgusted with the lack of loyalty displayed by so many players nowadays that clubs are sometimes held to ransom. Nobody is bigger than Liverpool. Not even Torres. Not even Gerrard. They can go if they want to but Liverpool will forever be there. We should not and never be held to ransom by any player, no matter how good he is.

I'm sorry to say this, I might offend someone, but Torres is acting like a real tw@t ( I might eat my words), if he wants to leave then so be it no one is bigger than the club. He owes us and he was injured most of the time in the last two seasons.

Some of these Spanish lads are that smug at the moment, egos the size of a planet, that they think they can say what they want and engineer anything they want, Fabregas is a fine example. For his part Nando is a quiet lad, doesnt get involved, and certainly doesnt need Villa doing his talking for him. He should button it and get on with his own job at Barcelona.

ye its sounds like villa has caught the john terry syndrome desease?

David Villa, pretty annoyed, has said it's all lies he has said anything to that english newspaper.

He's been pretty clear on that account

Typical sh!t stirring papers then  :no

Well Fernando should be back today and hopefully we will get an actual statement from him then.
Until then i am confident in what Roy said last week that he is looking forward to the new season with us.

Have just read an article about the chances of Fernando Torres being top Premier League goalscorer and it claims "it's hard to justify Torres' prominence" among the favourites due to his injury record and this being a transitional season for Liverpool. I know his injury problems have been greatly spoken of - but dont forget he has always been among the frontrunners no matter how much time has has missed. If he can have a good season on the injury front then he is capable of running away with it. People seem so quick to dismiss Torres and disregard him, rather than appreciate the quality goalscorer that he is.

Yep, it's in all the agencies, but you can bet the newspaper that brought you that story won't echo these very quotes. Villa has said he's friends of Torres, that he talks about a lot of things with Fernando, but that he would never comment about his future to anyone, let alone a tabloid.

When I read the article which was swooped on with indecent haste by all the tabloids .. I remember thinking this doesn't sound like anything Torres would discuss as openly as this with anyone......especially  given the media's determination to print any gossip about him
I even suspected that Villa's words never rung with any truth... as he  is not usually prone to making statements such as those printed, especially  given his understanding  of the affinity  Reina and Torres have for the club
Torres is staying and all talk of his disloyalty is seriously premature to say the least ... the press and the Fleet St hacks want to see Liverpool lose Torres ... The Mail has made their agenda abundantly clear over the years and it continues to ridicule and belittle our club even now ........Liverpool will be back... but for now all we can do is lick the wounds the media inflicts and come back an even more powerful animal ...Torres will stay and he will become a legend ...
I have said this before he is an adopted Scouser
when I think of  Liverpool FC Torres name is betwixt some illustrious names such as Rush, Dalglish ,Fowler he is simply that important to the club .....
