Josemi had a good game. He should have stayed on instead of Finnan (who we should sell to Carlisle Utd).

Had we have won 1-0 or even drew 0-0, everyone will heave a sigh of relief and say that it is ok to play "ugly". There weren't be so much upheaval.

Last night we lost ugly. Forget the blame on the zonal defence, our players came to Athen without their balls and their brains. We couldn't even string decent passes together. Every balls were impatiently pumped up to our strikers who were not in the right places.

It is the confidence factor, period. Only practice will make  perfect. Watch Pool again in 2007.

We will be in the Championship in 2007 if last nights form were to persist.

Lol, the other alternative is to pray hope that Souness stays employed in Newcastle right through 2007.

The critics over the past years were wrong about Liverpool.
During GH's regime, our squad was touted as "underachievers"
How could the duds bought by GH underachieve when they were not capable of achieving in the first place.

The current squad under Benitez are very good players as can be seen from the home games. For once, we can correctly be labelled as "underachievers".

Olympiacos have a very good home record, it was never going to be an easy game.
We did not pick up any more injuries.
We are still in a qualifying position in our group with one away game behind us.
We'll thrash them at Anfield :D

Feel better?

I fully agree. No one messes with Mr Hyde at Anfield.

The other half of Dr Jekyl. - the personas of Liverpool away and home forms.

Given our away form, Benitez may have to resort to defensive tactics to frustrate Mourinho.

Stay in bed all day on Sunday and don't read the papers on Monday, we will be lucky just to lose. A humiliation is on the cards.
I am not sure that Rafa has a grip on his tactics yet. The best plan might be to use Mourino's Bus analogy, and take a 'double decker' along and park it in front of the goal.

The only problem is that our double decker is not as effective as Spurs'.

Whatever happened to the defending rock we used to have in the two seasons from 2000-2002?

A'mad, you are bang on. And the latest is that Henchoz has had his avilability circulated to all in the Premiership. He must have some bad dressing room habits, because the defence always looked more solid when he was alongside Hypia.

gotta say Hypia had one of his worste performances but when things go wrong then it puts additional pressure on everyone. If the midfield and forwards arent holding the ball then it comes back on the defence all the time.

Also Dudie had to deal with a difficult back-pass so its not all his fault.
