I haven't exactly been in hiding now have I   ???
as for how he's performed ,well I think you should look at the contributions of our so called Superstars earlier in the season ,who decided for differing reasons to not perform at all on the pitch ,it was Lucas who gave us the bite in Midfield because Mascherano and Gerrard in particular simply were invisible ....

I think the Lad has performed admirably ,in a season of near  abject failure he has  been the one player who deserves to be applauded for his commitment

In fact the most disappointing thing about this season is the posters who fail dismally to give the Lad any credit for his contribution this season ,when it has been duly noted by the fans and deservedly merited with the plaudits

I read your first post and I was totally amazed how someone can watch Lucas's game and then come to the conclusion that he is a LAZY player ,to say I find this baffling would be a complete understatement..... Lucas has rightly been voted Liverpool's Young player of the year ,whether that's because the competition for this accolade has been less than poor is beside the point ....... the Lad won it simple as that and his performances have not gone unnoticed by fans and he has been rewarded accordingly

I think Lucas has done ok , but I don't give much credance to such fans awards really. I think if they had a worst player of the year award, Lucas's name would have been in the mix for that one too, admittedly he would have had a lot stiffer competition for that one though  :D

Even an Ok when describing the Lads performances would have been acceptance enough ,because it would have stopped me believing that this new generation of fans and posters simply cannot gauge a players application ,especially in a role he has been given to perform by the manager ...
Sometimes I despair of this blinkered and humourless new breed of fan Saint      :(  It certainly doesn't bode well for the future if people cant bring themselves to give a little bit of credit to a player ,because of an overwhelming   dislike ,which at times borders on the truly obsessive

After a season like we have just suffered through people need someone to blame. Some blame the players, some the owners and some like myself ...... well you know the rest :D  I agree, to get an ok in such a season and with the problems we have had is perfectly acceptable for any player who is not considered "key". I think he has come to terms with the physical side of the prem this season, and while he still gives away too many silly freekicks, has shown on occasion that he can pick a pass and can make forward runs, now he just needs to do them a little more frequently.

You are correct in one thing he is not Lazy.

But at this point and time after watching countless minutes and games by Lucas ,i regretfully conclude you are just watching a totally different game which is NOT football.

It is amazing how you can describe his performace as even tolerable ,if there is one players which symoblize this year it  Lucas.

Rafa of course is to blame for all of this ,but i really don't want to get into it any further ,just amused by the level of understanding possesed by some of our fans.

See that's were we differ ??? I watch Liverpool to see them playing as  a team  and not to become overly obsessive  highlighting one individuals performance ,I do however notice who is proud of wearing the shirt ,and those that show it little respect ???
Shame you don't fella  :(
TOLERABLE now that's a word I could describe for your input..... "JUST"

"proud of wearing the shirt"....Hmm nice spin and an original one i admit ,i would imagine you can dress almost any liverpool youth team with the first team shirt and he will be proud to the point of exploding ,but that is a minimal requirement of every proffessional player and is no way a critical paramater to evaluate and judge a player performance.

I never doubted Lucas commitment and will and passion to fight for team and symbol which is liverpool ,but that is where it ends ,no more can we settle for mediocre avarage boring unnoticed not to say liability players ,even if thery are proud - this is not enough ,this is not serious and this unaccaptable.

Although Rafa is the one playing the kid, as well as other "talents" ,Lucas just can't be considered a valid squad player for Liverpool FC ,i doubt if valid for any of the top 10 teams in the Premiership.

well first of all he just won tat award cuz there was no one else in contention for it, who else cud have won tat?? babel?? ayala?? el zhar?? well in my opinion tat award shud have gone to n'gog i think he saved our :censored: couple of times last season wen torres was out.
now secondly, lets analyze our season rather compare it with the previous season.wat do u think was the only difference tactically this season? alonso left and lucas stepped into tat position.and the previous season most of the goals were created in that midfield where alonso would play that killer long ball to either of the flanks or he wud just find gap somehow in the middle of the park and feed the ball to ger or torres. this was our attack strategy last season, and wat was it this season?? lucas feeding the ball to the player closest to him?? or him losing out the ball in the middle of the park a million times? or him making the wrong decision everytime the ball came to his feet?well if u closesly look at the assists lucas made, they were simple ones any professional footballer can pass the ball if theres no one on him, and if there was someone on him he wud panic and either lose the ball or pass it to the player closest to him!! wat are blind dude???
we can never win the title or even finish in the top four with these avg players man...we are'nt a charity organization to sympathize for a player cuz he runs arnd and works his :censored: off...football is not just abt tat...its the skills and technique u carry as a player
