Its great everyone saying lets sell and get rid of such and such - with names like lucas ,kuyt, insua , babel etc but who plays in their place ? there is no point getting rid of players until a replacment is in place

I tried to flick back a few pages but it's full of waffle and some guy who can barely put together a sentance. Someone mentioned he could be off to somewhere in Italy. Palermo maybe...

My prediction is Lucas will stay and Roy will deploy him in a more advance role, he will play more than he doesn't and the fans will finally take to Lucas Leiva :D

Tried the same meself Bav but couldn't find a credible link to say he was moving. Must be another one o' those daft rumours out of nowhere....
Or maybe somebody overheard him say he fancies an Italian....more likely a bleedin' pizza though  :D

No woy Jose should Woy accept a £5m for a player worth that  ??? £7m+ minimum, but I think we should keep him anyway. He is only 23, in the right system can be a good player for us.
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

5mil is a joke?? It's a robbery in plain day light! We should be paying Palermo to take him and people here want more?

Sell him as soon as possible ,5 mil it 5 too many it's a great deal sign it and move on.

Palermo confirm Lucas bid

But Italians have not offered the reported fee of £5million

Palermo have confirmed that an offer has been made for Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva but they insist that they have not bid the reported fee of €6million (£5m).

The Serie A club have been linked with the Brazilian for several months and the speculation has increased following the arrival of Roy Hodgson at Anfield.

Liverpool's new manager is expected to make changes to his squad and, with Emiliano Insua already the subject of talks with Fiorentina, Lucas could be one of the players who is sold to raise funds for reshaping.

Lucas was a regular in former boss Rafa Benitez's first XI last season after Xabi Alonso was sold to Real Madrid, but the 23-year-old still struggled to win over his critics.

Palermo, though, are admirers and sporting director Walter Sabatini has confirmed that they would like to sign the ex Gremio player, telling TGS: "We made a first offer to Liverpool for Lucas Pezzini (Leiva).

"But I deny that we have offered €6m. That is too much."

Benitez was accused of playing Lucas out of position when he selected the South American in defensive midfield as opposed to the attacking role that he occupied in Brazil.

Lucas has yet to establish himself as a Premier League star as a result and Hodgson could decide that he is surplus to requirements

-------

so the offer is LESS than £5m... as they think that £5m is too much!!!
