We've got to be the unluckiest team in the league.

An injury substitute.
An unlucky penalty.
And an own goal.
And its only the 1st half.

I would say I can't believe he gave a pen for that, but in honesty I can because that's how our season has gone all season. We have obvious pen after obvious pen and we can't get Sh*t, then the other team gets one for absolutely f*ck all.  That kick in the chest on Sterling is a red card every time.  Every f*cking time that's a red card, and we would have gotten a red card for that.

Shelvey, Sterling, Gerrard and Downing have been absolute f*cking trash, especially Sterling and Shelvey.  Every time sterling gets the ball he tries to dribble through everybody and loses the ball.  Every time!  Stupid as f*ck yellow on shelvey, and his touch has been everywhere.  he's wasted everything.  Gerrard just forces everything up the pitch and loses it.

Only bright note is Johnson absolutely tearing the right side up, but at the end of the half we couldn't even get the ball in a position to attack.

Ref has been Sh*t again.  he's giving them all kinds of soft fouls for nothing at all, and we can't get some very clear fouls.

My bet is this is why Assaidi and Suso aren't on for this one. Both a bit lightweight.

Of course, if we are going to beat them, it'll be with some composure on the ball - something that has been lacking since I got a stream to work. Were we really as good as all your comments suggested in the first 15 minutes?

We certainly aren't getting ANY luck from anywhere but it has to be said that this squad has a spine made of f*cking jelly when put under pressure.

We scraped through against Udinese on Thursday when put under pressure, only escaping there by the width of a cross bar and a half and again today we've been pressured for a sustained period and crumbled, this time to the cost of two goals (admittedly one was ref assisted)!

Not only do we need some scoring talent we need some serious muscle, physically and mentally if we are going to progress.

To compound our misery, Everton beat Spurs 2-1.

Ref was poor. But the biggest mistake is getting sucked up into end to end stuff with West Ham instead of slowing the game down and controlling things.

This is what has always confounded me about BR. I thought the whole idea of his philosophy was to control games!
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.

If you're a plastic supporter or a Manc, then I'd be inclined to agree with you.

I'm always the first to complain about refs decisions but that was a handball and it was a pen.

What's wrong with the game is us. Gerrard, Downing, Cole, Shelvey and Sterling are under performing. Few of them have been under performing for some time now and I can't understand how they get a chance to play. Gerrard has really summed up his recent performance with that own goal.

The only way to beat team like this is to play football against them the way we did in the first 20min, Enrique going off was a big loss for us

The idea is to stick to our principles, and if we did that, it would not matter about lightweights and heavyweights...
