The financial problems at the club have created a fighting spirit throughout the squad and this has resulted in improved performances in recent weeks. This Premier League match preview expects Pompey to put a lot of men behind the ball and make themselves difficult to break down. It will probably be a close and unimpressive win for Liverpool.

Well in that case we should have plenty of fighting spirit as well  :D [B]

The last win we had on a Monday night was against Leeds
At Elland Road on 23-08-1999
Leeds      1  - 2    Liverpool
Song 20(og)         Camara 45 Radebe 55 (og)
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Kenny Dalglish 1/2/2011

REST IN PEACE PHIL, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

Easily, remember that I am apparently dim and stupid.  :D
In all seriousness I have not seen anything from him, no deft touches no glimpses of vision etc which you normally see in good players even before they are properly match fit, I think he is a dud and may go down as Rafa's worst signing ever, which in itself it saying something.

You missed the bycicle kick in his first game for us then? the one that was going to be a goal but it hit the Arsenal defenders hands... his intelligent movement and header to get his 2nd assist for us when kuyt scored? the great one touch football he was playing when he came on for the last 20 mins against Wigan?

Bear in mind Heimdall that this guy has been out of football for over a year. I would say he has shown some real good glimpses of his potential and i would happily take a bet against you that he will not be one of Rafa's worst signings ever.

Well I'm certainly willing to give him a few more games but he has not convinced me so far, mind you neither has Lucas and you can't say he hasn't been given a fair go now.  :D

In the few minutes he's played I think he's shown quality at times in terms of balance, passing and vision. The questions for me are whether he can get and remain fully match fit, whether he can compete in the Premiership and where exactly he'll fit into are team. Big questions, no doubt, but it's just to early to write him off yet. I'd certainly like to see more of him.
