If Lucas is started before Aquilani then Rafa needs to pack his bags.

Bet you a tenner Aquilani starts on the bench against the mancs.  :p

no way will he start.

He won't and nor do I think he should either.

BTW, lakes, WTF is up with that signiture picture?

lol its the NZ football team

Lakes, seriously - look at that picture and tell me the fella to the far right isn't thinking about throwing up the one in front's hole? It looks like a gay orgy is about to insue.

Aqua MOM.

Carra and agger need to get there act together though.

Stevie is a very naughty boy. However, it was Brown and we all know gerrard hates that orrible lil runt. FA cant do nothing because the ref saw it. He gave a free kick.

Well chuffed for Aqua. The lad can play. Rafa will revert to lucas and kuyt for OT.

I agree. Was playing Gerrard and not the ball for the entire match. Would do my f*cking head in that. In a Sunday league game, there'd have been a scrap and not a sly elbow.

You wouldn't say that if the tables were turned though.  :;):

What are you talking about? The tables were turned, or are you blind? He was kicking the sh*t out of Gerrard most of the game, and did you miss his elbow inside the box where he just plowed right through the back of Gerrard to head the ball?

Completely agree.

Brown is a w@nker.  He obstructed a good run Gerrard was making, put his arm in front of Gerrard and Gerrard ploughed into Brown.  Why should he make an effort to slow down when Brown is making the initial offence?  Fu.cking joke, typical of the English media to make a complete meal out of it... w@nkers.

Yep, playing the player and not the ball. He just seen Gerrard about to race past him and resorted to dirt like he was doing all game. F*cki him. Steve should have knocked him out.

you can't start slating Rafa for something he hasn't even decided on yet, and especially without knowing how it will work out.

Surprised some people aren't a bit more upbeat than they seem to be after that.

Granted we were up against a poor side, but we played well.  Some of the one touch passing was great and Aquilani was at the heart of most good things.  Such a change having a central midfielder providing an attacking threat.  Gerrard showed great desire tonight, tackled back and didn't do his usual swanning about when played 'in the hole'.  His shooting boots weren't on but his form is improving.  Torres was unlucky not to have a hattrick and both Maxi and Babel did well.

For me the only poor performance came from Insua who spent the night doing his usual obstructing the opposition winger continually to avoid getting roasted for pace.  He's not the long term solution there for us.
