Would have preferred Porto, Dortmund or Chelsea myself.

This is still a tough draw and we will need to dig really deep to get past them. They are an aging side but still a very experienced one with some players who can do a lot of damage. 

I hope I am wrong but I can see Klopp playing Fabinho at CH again for this. 

If it was the liverpool side from 14 months ago I would be confident but we are no where near those levels and I think we will need to be to progress.

If we finished 5th and City won the CL then would that not mean we qualify? I think it would but if Manure or Arsenal were to win the Europa then I think we would miss out. Would I be correct in saying that ?.

So we got Real Madrid and potentially Chelsea, Porto after.

Every game will be tough now regardless of opposition.

I hope Hendo will be back soon.

Beating Real will definitely give us confidence, if we then make it past the next round we may just have the confidence in ourselves to go on and win it. As far as I’m concerned, the draw gives us the best chance but obviously it all starts with those w@nkers Real Madrid, we need to use that tie to propel us to number 7

Sadly we can’t use our Anfield crowd to make a difference, the players are going to have to play like champions

Im not sure mate, the year we beat Spurs in the final (2018/19) Arsenal finished 5th but they didn’t get an invite to compete in the following seasons CL so if I had to hazard a guess I’d lean towards no but I say that with very little confidence.

Fairly sure we would mate. The maximum any country can have is 5 teams in the competition. In the event that both European cups end up in the premier then only 3 places will be awarded to the league positions.

So if City or Chelsea win the Cl and finish in the top 4 5th should be good. If they dont and Manure win the Europa while finishing in top 4 then 5th will still be good.

I am praying that is the scenario anyway 

Just did a google and apparently not. If a team wins it and has already qualified then I think the places go to one of the lower leagues like France or something like that.

It’s a pity that because now we are going to have to do something pretty remarkable (but not impossible) to qualify for next years tournament. We are either going to have to win the CL or win all of our remaining league games. Tough ask but as I said not impossible, yesterday’s draw deffo helped.

Had a look at the fixtures and our first game back will be Arsenal(4)and 2 days later UCL (6) Real.

Going to be tough to figure out who to play. Any niggly lil injury against Arsenal will be a problem.

Seems incredible that we play an away CL match two days after playing away at Arsenal, the schedulers did us no favors. Real play Eibar at home on Saturday, so they will be in better shape since they don’t even have to travel. Not just two days between matches, also needing to travel.

The Arsenal game was already rescheduled lads. It's now on the Saturday.
