Liverpool Football Club - Games

Well, not so bad for a disaster season I guess. I mean, it wasn't a great season, no titles or anything, but 3rd place is pretty good as far as disaster seasons go.

We'll come back stronger next season!

Well done lads, been a crazy season and to come back strong, finish 3rd, accumulating 26/30 in last stretch was remarkable.
Lads who stepped in at CB deserve praise also. Thank God this crazy season is over.

It's an amazing result, given where we were a few weeks ago.

Remarkable finish against all odds. 26 points from 30 when we were far from our best was guts personified !! The two centre backs and especially Nat Phillips deserve a huge mention. Thiago is beginning to look something special. Sadio just loves the crowd - great game. Trent is looking back to his best. Robbo  needs a rest but did ok today.

We need to spend a few quid to strengthen the squad. Nothing crazy. Klopp is very capable of developing players.

Well done Reds - can’t wait for next season and 6 weeks ago I didn’t think I would be saying that !!

Considering the injuries we’ve had 3rd is a more than respectable finish, it’s not just the fact we lost Virgil and Joe for three quarters of the season Thiago got injured in the same game as Virgil and didn’t play until after Christmas himself, then we lost Jota for months in that dead rubber CL game against Midtjylland then we lost Matip then we lost Hendo and on and on and on....
Jurgen and the players deserve a lot of credit for the way they battled back to secure a top 4 place when at one point, when we were losing home game after home game, even finishing in the top 8 looked iffy.

Yeah cant wait for next season now  :buttrock  it's amazing the difference qualifying for a competition makes.

It was a good performance today and again Thiago stands out. Another great game and my MOTM.  Trent was excellent as well and I think the lad is worth a place in midfield if we have another RB. Hes got great bursts of pace to be playing through the middle.  Another good show from Phillip's as well.

Shout out for Gini as well  :nod  He has been a good servant in every sense for us and it will be sad to see him go. Best of luck to him wherever he ends up  :bowdown

Spanking Man Utd 4-2 away with 4 games to go was a massive result.

I was nervy about this game. Always a bogey team over the years. If Eze and Benteke were available, it could have been different.

If my auntie had bollox....

Barring the dodgy period at the start benteke wouldn’t have got a sniff with the way we closed down the channels. The boys were on it.

Benteke hit a vein of form - was on a run of scoring in 6 games in a row
