Liverpool Football Club - Games

Fabinho, Matip and Virgil played well harsh harsh lesson for us, Gini and Milner wtf? Robbo's crosses poor and Gomez average. Salah and Mane well marshalled by a no nonsense defence. Keita unfortunate and Alisson couldn't do much more for the goals

If anything we learnt tonight is that we need anothrr world class forward next season. Break the bank to bring in a that forward so we aren’t so reliant on Salah and Mane when they go missing.

Part of the reason why we dropped points a few months back was also the same reason. If our midfielders can’t score then spend the money on beefing up our front line as we are pretty solid everywhere else.

Our front three were garbage.

Klopp got the game plan spot on..We dominated in large parts we got super chances but the players failed him..Mane Milner and Mo inexcusable miss shots..Couldn't get the final pass in..On the other side 2 freakish goals..

Can we score 3 at Anfield- Yes , certainly a possibility

Can we stop Barca from scoring 1 which means we have to score 2 more to make it 5-4 ?

Game over I think- we needed an away goal.

We dominated for 70 mins but only had two chances to show for it.

Wat Re the chances of beating them 4-0 at Anfield?

Probably 100/1

Playing with no striker was suicidal. We created as many chances as them but fluffed every one of them. At 1-0 we were the better team and should have at least got it back to 1-1. The 2nd goal was just flukey and it took the wind out of us.. The 3rd was incredible unfortunately.

At 2-0 we had a chance.. At 3-0 it's gonna be too much.

totally agree...anyone who thinks we are good enough and bo big signings are needed just because we are challenging for the PL are just small minded...City will completely tear out their most expensively assembled backline for a new look backline next season. They are addressing all their weaknesses and if we can't keep up then prepare to be the bridesmaid. Barca will add De Jong and probably de Ligt to strengthen while Real and United will take a couple of season to rebuild. Are we challenging with these heavyweight or just happy to be another Spurs?

Jurgen put out (in hindsight, a wrong formation) and took too long to introduce Bobby. Gomez while a good defender offers very little going forward. Milner and Gini both very poor going forward and Robbo's crosses are below his usual standard.

Yeah it was a strange line up and at times there didn't seem to be any structure to our game, players were popping up all over the place i.e one minute Milner was on the right next he was on the left etc.
Barca's weakness is their defence but by playing such a conservative line up we took the pressure right off them, saying that even with a makeshift front 3 we should have scored at least 2 goals if not 3.
I guess the night can be summed up this way, they took their chances we didn't.

What's frustrating for us is it needs a game like this to see the obvious. Last year we knew we needed a keeper and it bit us in the ***** in the CL final of all places.

I just think Klopp is too stubborn sometimes until its too late.

Mystified at the decision to play Wijnaldum up front and Gomez at RB  in a CL semi final in Barcelona. Poor from Klopp, contributed to our downfall tonight.

Yes we had good chances but Barcelona could also have scored more in the end we where overwhelmed.

Never say never though despite the odds, need to get 2 in first half at Anfield without reply.

That's way too harsh for what the club has invested, who's to say we wont be strengthening in the summer, of course we will

Bobby would not have made a difference with the way the game panned out.

We need a CF that can finish. Someone like Sturridge in his prime. I’m not sure who that is maybe Werner, but it’s clear as day Mane and Salah aren’t enough to win us titles.

Time to pay Spec Savers a visit Koopp fucked up...the decision with Gomez is a mooting point as we lost our attack from right hand side and allowed Alba a free ticket to roam all night. TAA hogging the right side serves us well this season and he chose a negative approach. Not feeling down tbh but it is obvious we are still missing 1 or 2 piece of jigsaw to be a complete side
