Im sure that if he does go back to France, he'll be banging on all cylinders.

Espically now he's learnt to break the offside trap.  :D

Thats what I thought. This has got to be the last straw. First Morientes laying into him the other day now this. I cant see Cisse being kept at the club with comments like that.

I dont know how much we could get for him. Since hes scored 19 this season im sure we could get at least 10 Mil for him.

We were trailing a young French winger a while back but I cant remmber what team he played for. I think his name was Boukhari or somethin similar.

Perhaps Rafa can use Cisse as bait in a part exahcnge for him.

Lets just get rid of him to the highest bidder, its obvious hes going now and hopefully as soon as possible, get rid of cisse and then we can bring in 2 class strikers, we should have quite a bit of money to get some quality

Good to see Cisse is leaving, never liked him, people say "under the impression he loved the club" thats exactly was his intentions, the dancing, the giving shirts away, all a ploy to get supporters to like him because his performances and effort were p!ss poor, people bang on about him going to another club and being great, im 100% sure he wont be, becuase he simply, isnt that good, hes fast yes, but talented, certainly not, he unrealiable, hides against big teams and his atitude fuc*in stinks.

Im glad to see the back of him, cant wait to see rafa with a big cheque in his hand to get 2 strikers because i know he wont let us down.

Benitez fall-out means Cisse will quit Liverpool

CLAIREFONTAINE, France, May 28 (Reuters) - France forward Djibril Cisse says he will almost certainly leave Liverpool because he does not get on with coach Rafael Benitez.

'It will be very difficult for me to stay,' Cisse told reporters on Sunday at France's pre-World Cup training camp outside Paris.

'I've experienced a very difficult season and I don't want to go through another one.

'It's a pity because I love Liverpool and I feel at home there but apparently the coach doesn't like me.'

The 24-year-old, who joined Liverpool from Auxerre in 2004, said the most likely option was a return to France and named Olympique Marseille, Olympique Lyon and Paris St Germain as possible destinations.

'Marseille is the club closest to my heart but there is also Lyon and Paris,' said Cisse, who was born near Marseille.

Cisse said he hoped his future could be clarified before the World Cup finals in Germany start on June 9.

Meanwhile, Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is considering an approach for coach Eduardo Macia, who has rejected a new contract at Valencia.

Benitez will this summer lose Paco Herrera, who was reserve coach and chief scout at Anfield, as he plans to return to Spain for family reasons.

Benitez, who had Macia on his coaching staff at Valencia until joining Liverpool in 2004, is seeking a replacement for Herrera and said: 'We have a number of options and he is one.'

Liverpool are in the process of selling striker Fernando Morientes to the Spanish club, with only a medical standing in the way of that deal being completed, however Benitez stressed it was by no means certain Macia would head in the opposite direction.

Benitez said: 'Paco is working with us until July 1 and we won't be making an appointment until after this. It's too early to say who'll be replacing him.'

Not sure if this is old news or not.

Should have kept his gob shut and kept his transfer demands private. I can't stand it when these players star bleating to the press like little lambs. Cisse reminds me of a big kid much of the time. The lad played a lot of football during the final third of the season so i don't know why he's spat his dummy out.

As another poster said, it's probably to try and drive his transfer value down. Unfortunately for us the most effective way for Cisse to lower his transfer value this season has been to play football :(

Here's hoping we can somehow get 8 mill for him although that might be pushing it.

Nah, im pretty sure houllier will give us a good 20mil for him  :D

Glad to see the back of him when he goes, just wasnt good enough and his attitude was poor, now we can get 2 quality strikers in and get a squad together to challenge next season

One thing's for sure, after Cisse's latest comments he'll not play for us again.  I'm sure Benitez was going to sell him anyway but surely this puts it beyond doubt that it will be this summer rather then January.

I just hope he has a blinder in the world cup and we re-coup 8-9 million from some mug.... cue Mr Houllier.

I don't want him to go, but he would be an amazing player for Lyon, fit in like a glove.

If Cisse goes we need to get Bellamy or someone decent, not Defoe or any of that :censored:.
At the moment we are looking to have these 2 strikers:
FOWLER - A NATURALLY GOOD PLAYER, BUT LETS FACE IT, HE IS TOO OLD NOW
CROUCH - FINISH IS POOR, NO PACE, NO SKILL, JUST LANKY.

Worrying.
