Once again totally misleading stats when you consider the games we won with babel playing - wasnt one crewe ???? the other newcastle who were shocking ?!?!? yes goals win games well done and you do realise that lampard has scored more goals than any ther midfielder during the last 4 or 5 seasons ?!? so he is more than looking fancy on the pitch where as babel spend most of the time looking like a lost lamb on the pitch .

Yeah its pretty fantastic when a players gets played week in week it , it does wonders for there consistency.

I feel you would see a more pro active babel and a less rusty player if he had same chance lampard has playing every game every week.

As I remember it lampard wasn't all that great when he was played now and agian at westham.

now and again at west ham ? he played all the time there as well once he broke into the team as a youngster . to earn the right to place more often you have to show  you can perform when you are givien the chance - so far babel hasnt done anything to sho he deserves a place in the starting 11 either when he has started or come on as a sub - either up front or right or left . that is the way it is and pretty much most people can see that bar you .

and how many of those early years was he a young 18-21 trying to break into the team - bet in his last 3 seasons say he played pretty much all the time . once again missleading stats . he debut was first team as a youngster in 96 then played 13 games in the 96-97 season until he broke his leg . then about 20 more the following season and in 98 he became a starter and played in every game for them barring injury until he left in 2001 -

like i said if your going to quote stats make sure they arent missleading and find out the facts behind those stats .

Yes thats my point he had great manager behind him who played him and he got better , he was no world beater to start with.

Hence why I talk about him in regards to babel if rafa put trust in babel as much as harry did in lampard back then who knows what he might turn into.

Must every thread turn into a game of verbal keepy uppies between you two lads?

"yes but what you don't realise is that all the hard work Kuyt does got us to the top of the table, Babel doesn't put any effort in".

"But Babel hasn't been given the same opportunities as kuyt. He's scored four goals in his last 11 games. More than Kuyt".

"Buy Kuyt pressures the fullback, something Rafa picks him for. Don't you think a player should listen to the manager?"

"Well Babel doesn't get chance to pressure the fullback because he isn't picked. Kuyt has no pace, no football brain".

Should stop arguing about babel in threads it doesnt belong in.  I believe that belongs here Ryan Babel (OFFICIAL) Thread

Dont care who started it, but even though you usually dont post insults you ALWAYS have to have the last word.  Resulting in this argument, in the Wigan thread.

Edit- What mick said  :D

I'm not being funny mate, I used to be a mod and if I still was I'd ban the pair of you feckers. Both of you, don't post for 10 minutes and look at the threads. I've read four this morning and every single one, the Keane thread, the Wigan thread, If Rafa doesn't win the Prem etc etc has been ruined. Now whoever started it, whoever is to blame you both need to grow up I reckon or do it by PM.

We ban people like Lando and Stu and Peewee and bam and Neil for having spats, but at least they properly kick off and there's some entertainment in it. Unfortunately with you two lads it's just scroll down the whole two pages until it's all over. Seriously, the pair of you need to wise up here. That's my advice anyway.

Wigan can potentially be a tricky game. Has Palacios gone to Spurs yet? Anyway we need to pick ourselves up and make sure we get the 3 points. I don't care how we get it, whether it is a last minute scrappy goal or a thrashing. As long as we get the 3 points. We have Chelsea on the weekend so this is a must win game.

Torres should be at full fitness by now and from what I hear Keane is set to return to the squad so we should win. Come on!
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

i know opinion's diffa at the moment big time on formations for home & away games but for me i'd love to see 4-4-2 tomorrow night keane & torres starting up front, let's give it ago to start with,we need to go for it from the kick off, i don't think team spirit is down at the moment but it would be a great boost to see keane & torres start just to help stop speculation, that is un-called for at the moment, with everything else that's going on off the field we really need a show strength & character tomorrow night, which wer'e more than capable of when others want to pull us down, the song "oh campione" should be sung with full force at games at the moment, the lryics say it all for me.
