Goals are not exactly flowing at the mo so i would like to see two upfront with just the one holding midfielder.

Looks like the BBC still rate keane anyway.. not to mention they have Rafas replacement picked already

Wigan manager Steve Bruce:
"Liverpool are very strong defensively and, with Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres, they have exceptional players.

"It will be interesting to see if they can last the pace with Manchester but they are making a right good fist of it.

"But when Liverpool come to town it is always a great occasion against one of the giants of the game and we are looking forward to it."

Liverpool manager Robbie Keane:
"People are talking too much about Keane. It was just one decision about one player, he wasn't in the squad.

"He had a day off on Sunday like the rest of the players who were not involved in the game. He trained on Monday, he trained today and he will be in the squad at Wigan.

"It is nothing to do with whether he talked to me about the situation. Every player has trained very hard this week, as has Robbie, and he will be in the squad.

"He will be in the squad and if he can score goals then I will be happy."

anyway it says Keane will be in the sqaud for tomorrow apparantly.

Whichever team Rafa puts out (and I give up trying to second guess the man) one thing is certain we HAVE to match or better what the mancs do the night before. Worst case is we are 4 points behind and played one more. The confidence and belief will diminish and all I can see is the gap widening. Please LORD I hope not.
So a win is all I want don't care how we do it 0-1, 0-5 or 5-6.

We cant let the mancs pull away

why does babel deserve his chance ? he has played on the right before and been bloody awful there as well ? we dont have the luxury anymore of giving someone 5 or 6 games to get going .

we can loose the game - babel has done nothing to suggest he should start in this game - he started against newcastle and was the worst player on the pitch against a very very poor newcastle team despite smashing one in from a yard (which was the only thing of note he did that day ) he then started against everton and once again did nothing at all all game long . he was the worst player on the pitch . Babel has all the talent in the world but no footballing brain to go with it . he is a less effective Cisse at the moment .

I know what you ment I just feel its something people talk about to much many great footballers have no natural footballing brain , drogba/terry/lampard/Andy cole just to name a few.

But I bet if you was setting team up you wouldn't moan about having them in ya team.

all of those players have some sort of footballing nonce about them and have the ability to make the right choice when they have the ball - something babel seems to lack .

lampard don't he needs 30 shots to score 1 goal.

But at least his manager gives him the chance to score he gets alot of play time.

If you look at babels goal/mins played ratio its better then garrards , torres , lampards or most of players in prem.

your stats are meaningless when it comes to goals games ratios - they dont show what he does during the game and that is nothing and im sorry but as much as i dont like lampard they guy is a very very very good footballer who controls a midfield that has won a number of titles .
