CB has found us out tonite. We signed him yet he was cup tied. Doh!
Traore got dragged out of position for their first goal.

Agger can't play in the CL mate.

EDIT: Nevermind.  :D

Its been said time and time again, but to get our strikers scoring he needs to stick with a partnership for more than 2 games.

We need to look at the bigger picture, yes our striker's aren't scoring, but why? Because they aren't getting many chances through bad movement, out of all our strikers Fowler is the only one who seem's to be able to anticipate thing's and make quality run's, Morientes ( F*cking donkey ) and Crouch are too flat footed and wait for the ball to come to them.

Liverpool's attacks frequently break down because Gerrard ( or any other midfielder ) break's forward quickly and has to stop because Crouch and Morientes are stood waiting 40 yard's up the pitch instead of making run's for through / cross ball's. Simple as that.

Its not all doom and gloom as we have made great strides but the axe must fall on the forward line this summer.

In my opinion Morientes is the only one we need to get rid of, I really feel Cisse can offer us something if givin more of a chance.

Axe Mo and bring in a good quality player to replace him.

I'd fook Cisse and Morientes off cos their both sh!te, keep Crouch and fowler but bring in Defoe and Owen :;):

The best midfield and central defence Europe but we can't score for sh!te  :no

Both as slow as a snail, both target men both cows @rse and bango come to mind.
I cannot slate Fowler because at least he has found the back of the fuckin net on 3 occations but all offside.

The rumours of Rafa going to Madrid if he didnt get 30 million in his war chest bump that price up to 50 cause the forward line we have at the moment are totally sh.ite.

In all my years of being a Liverpool fan Ive never ever witnessed such a poor goal threat and Im talking 30 years here, Im sure Woof, Daglish, Peewee and woolly would all agree.

This is f.uckin dire this is not what Liverpool football club is all about, its about pass and move, score.
Its dreadfull infact I am totally disgusted.

i agree with your thoughts on cisse being more of a threat.... ive always liked to have cisse and fowler up front. then at least if cisse isnt scoring - he will draw defenders with his pace and his runs allowing fowler more space.

cisse IS more of a threat.. he just has been given a run of games like moro and crouch were.... we only judge him on 1 game then he's out for 3.... while moro starts em all

we all know about traore... he was going to everton for 1mil... that says it all.... he's not european class... not a top club player... worth 1mil... why the fuk we play him is beyond me.

sorry that was more of a rant than it was supposed to be .... just one of those nights...

If we get to the same stage in the CL next season, I think there'd be a hell of a lot more energy in the side. That's the beauty of qualifying for the main draw as opposed to starting a season 10 minutes after the previous one finished.

If we were playing at the same tempo and as high up the pitch as we were back in December, we'd have destroyed Benfica. Players like Gerrard and Carragher, who have engines as good as anyone in world football, have looked utterly knackered to me in recent games.

We are still missing some quality down the right wing, playing Cisse down there is doing us no favors at the moment. Mabye its time to see if any of our youth players need to come through the ranks.

It seems to me that football is a game of fine margins.  Tonight <dare I say it> Carra was responsible for the first goal and missed two headers he should have at least got on target.  Am I saying sell Carra?  Of course not, but you win some and you lose some.  No-one can guarantee winning all the time and we need to take it on the chin and lose gracefully.  I liked the chorus of "You'll never walk alone" after the second goal.  That's the spirit I'd like to see.

Nando has little to offer, Traore isn't good enough, but I think these are smokescreens.  At the end of the day, we didn't take our chances and lost...just like other teams have done against us in the past (e.g. Chelski in the semi last season.)  I believe we'll be in the Champions League again next season, so let's look forward not back.
:buttrock

BTW - congratulations Arsenal.

Red wrote:Ciggy your right, i could never understand why rafa got rid of Baros like you said he ran and ran and was a threat infront of goal.

but these players (Moro, Cisse and Crouch) are paid :censored: loads to put a ball in a net why cant they even do that?

As for Traore hes gotta go i can do better and i have a wooden leg (J/K),  this idiot is a liability.

You're damn right man. Selling Baros WITHOUT a super replacement has costed us maybe the premiership and the CL.

We would have been going neck to neck with Chelsea with a better strikeforce and we would have been in the quarter finals.

Cisse, Morientes, Mellor must be sold in the summer. Then there must be a decision on Pongolle.

Then we need not one but TWO world class strikers.
If football is banned in heaven. I'd rather go to hell.

What you said about Crouch is BS, he's only never good enough when he doesn't score or play well! He's been a great signing and in my opinion you're making him a scape goat for tonight just because he missed that great chance. Of course you'd have never said this if he had of put away that chance, would you? No.

Not really mate, I/and many where under the impression that when Crouch was brought in that he would be nothing more than a sub, to change a game.
But f.uckinell he is starting every game, without a prolific goal scorer next to him, he was on fire at the saints because he had a great partnership alongside him Phillips.
Now its just chopping and changing one week Fowler,Mourinetes,Garcia, Cisse there is no settled forward line.
There is no strike partnership.
When we won the CL I thought here we go like the rest of us, hopeing that some fantastic player joined the reds, but it didnt happen.
We needed that bit of flair them wingers we watch all the time them creative goal scorers well where are they?
We are playing great as a team, we create chance after chance, dominate possetion but nothing to show for it at the end?

Totally frustrating IMHO I cannot wait till the summer when hopefully Moritntes departs from the squad.
Its also about time that Cisse got his chance cause lets face it he cannot be any worse than Mroientes can he?
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.
