I think we really need to approach this game in the right manner, otherwise we could get cocky and lose.

I'd go for the following team:

                                         Reina
                        JC              Sami           Agger
Kromkamp                                                                 Riise
                                        Sissoko
                      Alonso                          Kewell
                                 Crouch
                                              Fowler.

This team should beat them out of sight, with Garcia entering the fray after about 60 minutes.

Like the look of that Lando.

Looks pretty solid and gives us plenty of options going forward.

I also think that side would win comfortably at the Hawthorns. :nod

Never tried. Maybe too risky at this stage of the season but no one can deny the potential firepower

Wouldnt mind seeing that but with alonso in the centre and kewell on left no sissoko

It won't be a 5 or 6-0, but we should still win it at a canter.

2-0 or 3-1, I reckon. Robbie will definitely start I reckon, and will be amongst the goals.

I'm really hoping Robbie gets a run out in this one.

The lad's been a bit unfortunate - he broke the forwards' scoring duck against Fulham (a huge pyschological lift for the team) but hasn't been involved since...not even for the Derby!

As Lando says, this may be a trickier fixture than it first appears and that's why Fowler should start: he'll be hungry to play and will work hard to match what the other strikers have been contributing of late.

Be interesting to see united's run-in -  I believe they still have to play the Ar.ses and Chelsea

The shake-up for 2nd spot is defo gonna be interesting  :nod

sometimes though playing teams at or near the bottom at the end of the season can be a bit of a double edged sword.

Well after the week off I don't think Benitez will need to 'rest' anyone for this one.  We should be full strength apart from Gerrard.

Don't think it'll be as easy as some are making out though, WBA need points badly and they should be up for a scrap.  For that reason I think we need to play a pretty physical midfield, and that means no room for Kewell and Garcia in the same side - especially away from home.

Agree with most that Fowler has to start this one, he's been on the bench for the last few.  I'd like to see what he can do feeding off Crouch rather than him dropping too deep trying to be the provider himself.

I'd go with...

                            Reina

Finnan          Carra            Hyypia         Riise

Kromkamp     Alonso         Sissoko         Kewell

                  Crouch         Fowler

I think we'll win narrowly, maybe 2-1.

We have an easy run in and in theory we should easily win them all but obviously that wont happen, them mancs are winning again tonight  :(  our chances of catching them keep looking bleaker, hate them scum. I will go for 3rd unless man u slip up and we go on a run. As for saturdays game, 4-0 scoreline for me, we always seem to batter them and we are on winning and scoring form, hatrick for robbie, 1 for nando

I'd go for the following team and bring Morientes on for Fowler if things get bad. I would stop picking Crouch because all he does is jump and head the ball safely into the opposite keeper's hands.

                            Reina

Finnan          Carra            Hyypia         Riise

Garcia     Alonso         Sissok        Kewell

                 Cisse         Fowler

yeah, its funny the guy who heads the ball into the keepers hands is scorin more than the rest of our strikers at the minute though isnt it....and scorings not the only thing he can bring to the team

Reina

Finnan          Carra            Hyypia         Riise

Kromkamp     Alonso         Sissoko         Kewell

                 Crouch         Garcia

And put fowler on at about 60_70 mins for ether garcia or crouch.

We should get a comfortable win ill go for a good 3 or 4- 1.

FFS!!!

He scores against Fulham, he scores against Newcastle, he scores against Birmingham twice...

He plays up front on his own for most of the derby, helps create Garcia's goal and works his socks off for the team...

And you want to sit him down?  Do me a favour!  :veryangry

Meaning hes had a long rest and time to get fit, he should be in better condition to play and more effective. Im not saying we should definately start fowler but maybe
