Yeah, totally agree Leon, thats why I said that his comments were poorly timed. Considering that he has only been at our club for a small period of time.

Cggy is right in saying that Sky has twisted the words around so that it seemed that Van Basten hit out at Jan by joining us, where in fact he was talking about going to Villareal from his previous club. It should spur Jan on more to be successful with us, and to shut up his critics.

Perhaps van Basten has built up a dislike for Liverpool after they beat his old team in Istanbul last season, but whatever his reasons it makes him sound very arrogant and these comments would have been better said away from the press.

Btw, I suggest that this thread be closed. It wasn't practical in the first place, and has now drifted into nonsense between two members. I know I am at fault for some of it, but as I said - I just have a low tolerance for over-sensitive knobs complaining or insulting me and find it difficult to turn the other cheek and get carried away with the nonsense. Ok, try not to throw insults at people during your conversations. That way the person to whom you are aiming your post at will not have reason to throw insults back. Just have an adult conversation with another adult, it's easy.
