A stultifying summer with lots of talk but Sweet FA in terms of transfer action, all culminating in one day of utter madness.  God love football! :D

Barton will be wheeled to Goodison Park in a straight jacket and a muzzle.

the Brazilian kid is for the reserves and the goalkeeper was very impressive in the Euro U19s and was not a surprise that it was made permanent.  Good thing to unload Voro's wages, and Finnan wasn't going to play much with Arbeloa, Carra, Degen, and Darby at the club so its not a bad make weight for Reira who will be welcome.

Jermaine Pennant has been warned by Rafael Benitez that he will be left in Liverpool’s reserves if he does not agree to join Stoke.

Benitez has told Pennant he has no future at Anfield and was hoping to sell to Blackburn or Stoke.

Stoke are prepared to meet Liverpool’s price of £5million, but Pennant has stalled the deal by demanding £50,000 a week wages.

This was the first of the 10 facts about Riera:

1. Riera is known as Spain's answer to Middlesbrough's Stewart Downing but when among friends he goes by the nickname of 'Flossy'.
That will scare opponents off :D

Right this is getting stupid, who next Ronaldo?

18.23 According to Radio Marca in Spain, Manchester City have now made a bid for Real Madrid striker Robinho, who has asked to be allowed to join Chelsea. Who will City bid for next?

I am trying to see how Owen would fit in the squad.

With Torres, Keane, Ngog and potentially Babel playing in a forward position, where is Owen going to go? Especially when you consider that Rafa may end up playing a 4-2-3-1 with Keane sitting in behind Torres...
