Seems Torres has brought everyone down to earth; to the fact none of the fundamental problems of the club have been addressed, and which no one signing, however pleasing, can address...

The "We told you so" merchants are circling up above, but like Nan I'm still hopeful that they'll have to wait a little while longer for their little feast. I'm as cynical as they come, but when this lad talked of his love for the club, his appreciation of how he had been treated at Liverpool, I believed him. I believe him now, I think he'll stay if Chelsea is the option.

On a side note, as someone who deals with Chelsea supporters every day, I can categorically say it would be the worst decision of his life if he went there.

I'm just saying that the situation isnt as ambiguous as you (we) would like to make out, the manager coming out and saying the things he did appears to to suggest Torres is 'on one' as it were.

My thoughts exactly Nan, he took a pay drop to come to Anfield and also said his daughter was going to grow up a scouser but now after a bad season and when the club need him the most to leave would really change my opinion on the lad.

I just want him to come out and quash all this craziness because it's not good for anyone and if he is going to go we need to buy a quality replacement rather than being left in the lurch like usual.

Like a few have said this is the same situation as Gerrard and Chelsea and Stevie said he only wants to win the league with Liverpool and that it wouldn't be the same with another team, surely with all the self confessed love that Torres has for LFC he wouldn't want to win trophies with anyone else other than Liverpool Football Club.
