Maybe that Torres refuses to commit his future to Liverpool as Agger did.
There is nothing stopping Torres from doing so now that evil Rafa has left just like he wanted to....

In the past Torres has always been quick to scotch rumours that he is leaving,
World cup or no world cup a short press statement through his agent to the Echo just to reassure the fans would have been the decent thing to do,
Hes no fool he knows his silence only unsettles the fans he professes to love, and encourages clubs to bid for him.

As for SG, He went on record before last season and stated that LFC deserved the best of him and that he was committed to finishing his career here.
Now we have to put up (yet again) with his 'will I wont I' stay routine!
To be honest I'm that fed up with his 'changes of heart' that if a 30ml bid for him at 30 came along and was used directly on new players I wouldn't mind if the club called his bluff and cashed in.
And if Torres is not committed enough to LFC to give us at least another 2 seasons to turn things around, let him go to the highest bidder as well

What the hell is going on with this guy? There are a few lads on Bluemoon who reckon it was Torres who convinced Silva City was the best place to go and that Torres himself is almost a certainty to join him.

I remain unconvinced and i just wondered if any of you guys had heard anything?

Personaly i'd prefer Dzeko over Torres at City. Torres is undoubtedly world class but his terrible injury record is worrying and for the money Liverpool would want i'd be a bit wary. Dzeko however is also world class and is the type of player who would take the prem by storm. Tevez, Dzeko, Ade, Robinho with the midfield we have providing the service would be unstopable surely.

He said last week he wont be going to City.

If he leaves i dont think he will go to another premier league club. Certainly not a club not playing CL.

Fernando Torres believes Roy Hodgson is the right appointment for Liverpool but says he will not discuss his future until after the World Cup.
"I was happy he got the job," he said. "He did really well at Fulham and I am sure he can do better for Liverpool.
"He is a very good manager. He showed that in the past and in the last season with Fulham. Hopefully he will be the right man to give Liverpool the opportunity to be strong again."
However, Torres insists he does not want to make any decisions until Spain's campaign comes to an end. Chelsea, Manchester City, Barcelona and Inter Milan have all been linked with a move for the striker.

"I haven't had a chat with [Hodgson] yet but I will talk with him soon and we will see his ideas about the future," he said. "For now, my future is here.

"South Africa and the World Cup is too important to think about things after that. I have a very important week still here and after that I will have time to talk with him and talk about my future."

Torres tells young Liverpool fan: I could never join Man City

Fernando Torres has told one Liverpool fan he could never leave the club for Manchester City.

Rameez Mahomed, from Johannesburg, was one of 23 children who escorted the Spanish and Honduras players on to Ellis Park on Monday.

A fan of English premiership side Liverpool as well as Spain, Rameez said he took the opportunity to ask Torres a burning question - would he leave Liverpool for Manchester City next season?

"He told me he would never go to Manchester City because his heart was with Liverpool and also because he gets along well with Steven Gerrard," Rameez told the Sunday Times.

Was just reading newsnow and there are a few quotes from Fernando in the last few days. Im not going to link the article as it's from the shitrag but ill just post his quotes.

The prospect of him banging goals in for Chelsea or City would make me feel sick. If we sell him surely it means that loads of others will follow as well. Hopefully he gets back and commits as soon as

Agents talk . He owes us at least 1 more year. But if he is going to go to another English side we need to make sure we get at least 70/75Mil.
