Taken from A thread on Bluemoon.

Not confusing at all....man city are still a 3rd rate club with a lot of money......it's just a mercenary club ...Torres has more dignity than the likes of Robinho,Barry,Adebayor etc     :D

He'd be no more in CL football than at Liverpool, a club he supposedly loves.

We've more chance of winning the EDL than citeh, they would be better off sticking to what they've proved best at over the past season or so, buying ordinary cr ap and paying over the odds for it!

Supersub - is my request not possible? Are you not the man? Or do I need to merely say "check your PMs" ?

Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

Today's echo: Torres and Agger on Rafa and LFC:

Benitez was instrumental in bringing Torres to Merseyside and El Nino flourished under his guidance, but he is not letting events at Anfield detract from his aim of helping Spain win the World Cup.

“I have nothing but respect for Rafa and he has taught me a lot,” said Torres. “But I can’t think about the situation now. I am not sure who the Liverpool manager will be but I need to stay focused on Spain.”

Meanwhile, Daniel Agger has reaffirmed his commitment to Liverpool, even though he has admitted to being shocked by Benitez’s departure and subsequent move to Champions League winners Inter.

“I’m a little surprised because I didn’t see it coming,” said Agger. “Of course there has been a lot of talk about it but I didn’t see it happening right now. The time with him was good.

“He is a good manager, he knows his stuff and he knows what football is about. When I return from my summer holiday I’ll see what is new. But his exit has no bearing on my future. I’m committed to Liverpool

Maybe that Torres refuses to commit his future to Liverpool as Agger did.
There is nothing stopping Torres from doing so now that evil Rafa has left just like he wanted to....

Whats the point of your post?

What because another of our top players is praising Rafa it becomes a non post? lol

It's just an update from 2 of our players. Nice to hear that from Agger too. That's the sort of thing we need to be hearing from Torres and Stevie tbh but no such talk...

"Everyone knows I'm happy at Liverpool. I'm waiting for news of the new coach but I simply have to put that to one side." Torres, yesterday

Not really any worrying quotes in that mate. Also notice how the mail forgot to leave out the part where he says he is happy at Liverpool. He wants to hear the new managers ideas first, he isn't a classless mercenary this one. I still hold on to hope that he will give us 1 more year in which we will get new owners to put things right.

What the hell is going on with this guy? There are a few lads on Bluemoon who reckon it was Torres who convinced Silva City was the best place to go and that Torres himself is almost a certainty to join him.

I remain unconvinced and i just wondered if any of you guys had heard anything?

Personaly i'd prefer Dzeko over Torres at City. Torres is undoubtedly world class but his terrible injury record is worrying and for the money Liverpool would want i'd be a bit wary. Dzeko however is also world class and is the type of player who would take the prem by storm. Tevez, Dzeko, Ade, Robinho with the midfield we have providing the service would be unstopable surely.

Torres has said on the record a number of times that he wouldn't play for any other premier league team.

What's going on with this guy is that he said a month ago that he was focusing on Spain and would consider his future after the World Cup.  Too difficult to comprehend?

Torres convinced Silva to go to City?  Ha, Good one.

Tell you what, you take Dzeko and we keep Torres, sounds good to me.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.
