Where did you get 7 million from?

He was signed for 3 million.

Stephen Wright shouldn't have been sold.

Otsemobor has potential but has to learn to defend as he simply can't.

I think Finnan has potential but he needs to proved himself and like lots of players he had injouries last season :(

Finnan made a name for himself as an attacking full back with Fulham and Ireland.  However, Houlliers tactics meant he never got beyond the half way line last season.  I think it's premature to let him go.  I hope Benitez has another look at him.

Always miffed me that we let Stephen Wright go and was at Newcastle when Ostember made an impressive Prem debut and for the record defended brilliantly :p

Finnon is going nowhere and will come on this season. He wasn't poor last season just pretty average but there is more in the tank and hopefully he will improve if we are to challenge. Width was always a problem under GH who preferred a much narrower style of play anyway so hopefully this season we will use the whole of the pitch rather than just a narow strip up the middle ???

Boll*x to defending we only should concentrate on attacking. let the oppostion worry about us!, Otsemobor is better than finna or carra anyday of the week and should replace finnan in my book
Never mind steven wright either, he was quite gormless! but there are a host of players lfc shouldnt have let go.........Berger, fowler, anelka, matteo etc etc

Reading into Benitez' quotes about Josemi I reckon he sees him as our no.1 right back.

As I said before Finnan at 28 doesn't have much improvement in him if any and is not good enough to ever make that rb spot his own.
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.

Once again Hustler you show your ignorance. Wright may have been gormless but so what? Ian Rush was no oil painting nor was Fowler! Berger was excess to requirements, Fowler had his best days behind him - £11mil great price, Matteo was never good enough. Poss only Anelka worth keeping. U r a pratt so get lost

i'd say it is media speculation due to the arrival of Josemi, wouldn't be the end of the world if he was sold, as we've got Carra, Otsemobor and Josemi (unless Rafa plays him at Centre half).

if he is for sale, what price can we fetch for him? He did not play too much last season and when he did, there is not much to indicate that we will get near the 3.5 million of his cost to Liverpool.

I don't know if the younger fans here remembered but the conerstone of Liverpool's success during the Paisley era and was carried by Fagan and to some extend Dalglish, was a solid defense. Liverpool used to press the opposition and never played silly but spectacular to watch all-out attacking. We'd pass the ball around progressively and had gifted individuals who first and foremost play as a team.

Seems like Hustler is living in a dream.
