If he did say that then he's entitled to want to try to be in the team but stupid to hint at moving.

just seems a little opportunistic coming a day after Ranieri said :-

Ranieri: I Only Signed Tiago After Sissoko Failure

Claudio Ranieri has made the startling revelation that he only signed Tiago Mendes because of the failure to get Liverpool’s Momo Sissoko.

Tiago signed for the Bianconeri in the summer from French champions Lyon in a big-money move.
The Portuguese international was expected to provide some much needed power and authority to the Juve midfield, however he has been a complete disaster and has made only seven appearances, with just two of these being starts.

His misery was compounded yesterday when he was brought on as a substitute against Atalanta in injury time.

“Tiago? I brought him on yesterday to hold the ball and he did very well,” said Ranieri.

“I wanted both Tiago and Almiron, no one is left out in the cold, but Nocerino and Zanetti are playing very well. I play whoever gives me the best possibility of winning.

“It is true that in the summer we spent a lot on Almiron and Tiago, but how much are Zanetti and Nocerino worth?

“With Tiago we were thrown into buying him after we were told we had to spend €32m on Sissoko.”

It will be interesting to see how Ranieri’s latest comments go down with Tiago, but the 26-year-old is nevertheless expected to move on during the January transfer window.

Heres the full interview he done for french telly.

Absent from the squad to face Marseille in the CL, Momo Sissoko talks of his disappointment in his manager's choice and also questions his own future at Liverpool.

Despite being in the starting lineup against Reading this weekend (3-1 defeat), Momo Sissoko, the Liverpool midfielder, hasn't been retained in the squad to face Marseille in the CL. "It's difficult, because it's a match that is very close to my heart" explains the player.

"I really want to play in this match but due to the manager's decision I'm not in the squad. I'm disappointed, especially since it's in France. All my family will be there and will want to see me on the pitch. I know that I can play in this team, I already showed this during my first two years. But that's football, and I'm learning every day about this situation.

A situation concerning a substitute that he has got used to since the start of the season, since he has rarely started a match. A situation which has made the Mali international reflect on his future at Liverpool.

"We're going to check with my agents and the manager" he explains. "I've been wondering about this for a while (leaving the club). At the moment, it's not at the forefront of my mind, but we'll see in December. Playing one match in 5 doesn't interest me. Personally, I'd rather be with a smaller club and play to gain experience, rather than being at a big club and warming the bench".

Looks like he wants out.

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Thanks for confirming it's real

He'll be sold if we can get a decent price for him. Rafa's had a choice between keeping Sissoko and signing Masch permanently. This will surely makehis mind up for him. Rafa's always said he only wants players who want to play for the club.

I don't think the criticism is way way over the top unless we're personally insulting him without a reason...

the fact is that he's been virtually a passenger in the games he's played recently... if he plays it looks like we're playing with 10 men...

I was surprised we kept him last summer... but I thought that was because rafa knew that the mash situation wasn't very clear... whether we wanna pay that much to keep him or not... now that we've signed lucas, I clearly don't see how sissoko can get a game... He should be glad that rafa is rotating and he's getting the odd game!... cause if one would go by sensible (big micks' word) selection he wont' get a game at all with lucas and masherano looking impressive... especially lucas...

I do not think it is worth it to keep him just in case we draw Barca in the Champions League.  I think he can be worth more to the team in British Pounds than in quality on the pitch. I am glad he finally did get a goal.  Heck, before you know it, Guthrie, Spearing, and Plessis might pass in in the pecking order.

i agree with Joe. I'm in the pro momo camp, and think he's a good player and an even better prospect (he's still fairly young) - but as we already have gerrard, alonso, masha, lucas, and a great many 'potentials' in the reserves... I think it maybe the best time to let him go.

Its good that Momo is pis*ed off that he is not playing. Although i for one would not be against him leaving, imo this season he has started to 'believe' that he is some kind of midfield general, he has started going further up the pitch, trying long passes, shooting (from anywhere), and all this has been detrimental to his performances.
He should stick to what he was, and is, good at, breaking play up and giving a simple ball to another Red. Unfortunatly it seems the pressure of seeing better footballers in Mascherano and more recently Leiva has probably forced him to try too hard when he gets the chance to play.

Given the choice i would offload him na put the money towards another TOP class forward (as long as we tie up Mascherano).

i don't think sissoko fits into the style of play we're trying to um, play.

by that i mean i know he will get better in the future and it would be worth keeping him no doubt because look how much he has improved already.....but with lucas and mascha tearing up any midfield there is at the moment, im not just reacting to a good run of form from them but whenever sissoko plays even on great form his passing is just terrible. he has tried to improve it but we want to play slick football when we attack and he will more often than not, mess it up..........he has improved but not enough for our standards in my book.
defensive wise i can't fault him, if i do its nitpicking, he is class in that part of his game.

Now the other thing is, in January it seems like he wants to go if it keeps going this way, whats the point of keeping someone who wants to play all the time and doesn't get to? and will kick up a fuss about it.....not only will that cause unnecessary problems in the dressing room which rafa doesn't need with all the bs pressure he has got on his plate, but its not good for sissoko himself.

let him go.....get good money from him. use the money wisely rafa.....that would be my speech to rafa if he'd return my calls :p

I really like sissoko and I thought he was going to be a great player for us but I just can't see it happening.  It seems there is no improvement in his passing and that is a problem.  Everytime I watch him he just passes sideways or back he rarely makes a good pass up front.

so what if it's in France, Rafa picks the side according to who deserves it not on who's mum will be in the crowd

Ciggy wrote:"It is a difficult time. I am good enough to play in this team.

Who do you think you are kidding Mo Sissoko, if you thing you're number one.

You'll sooon be off on a transfer somewhere, soon the deals will be done

Ciggy wrote:"It's the manager's decision. I respect it but I will discuss this in January.

Good, discuss it the week before and tap up some other club. If you want to play in France then maybe you should move there

Ciggy wrote:"I will make an assessment with my agents and the manager. I have been asking myself that question for a while.

We've been asking why you're so sh 1te for a while, does anyone know the answer?

You're playing more than you deserve to, some players like Kuyt have done nothing wrong and are excluded more than you

I like Mo Mo, but the truth is with players like Leiva, Masch, Gerrard and Alonso playing for one side they just isnt any room for him. The fans would miss him but as a team on the field he wouldnt be missed.

Owzat is that true? I don't think this part is true at all. Kuyt has been a far more regular fixture when both have been fit.

Not arsed if he goes, no room for sentiment a hand full of good games for us thats all. the guy can't pass and you can blame that on confidence and not havin a run in the team. if you fall into the camp of he needs a run of games to improve his performance on the pitch then he clearly is not the right man regardless of havin potential imo we have much better midfielders. Even if we don't sign mash he should still be offloaded.
