Hodgson should be sacked for being Hodgson!

Roy in the press conference blaming the players for not showing enough passion.... I agree Roy, but I blame you for screwing it up big time

What a complete wa'nker Hodgson is.....still, he's at least right about the lack of passion....

Yep I think he is bang on about the players showing nothing in today's game, but I also blame him for being a tool with his approach.

What happened to the players who were proud to wear the red shirt?

Players like Avi Cohen you mean ? I bet it was lost on the tosspots wearing red tonight.....fookin' disgrace....

He's blaming the players again? F*ckn spineless c*nt.

you don't blame the players? Roy's not the man to take us forward, but feck me, the players have to take responsibility too. Some of them looked like they don't give a f**k and it starts with Torres.

Hes not doing himself any favours wih his statements
But what a shower of sh'ithouse sh'ite we have wearing the red shirts

I don't want him wasting any money that is available for new players next month. A change of manager has to be made NOW!

The thing is, in a system that works, and under a manager that is capable, it's easy to single out players that don't want to know or who simply are underperforming. The problem we have now is that it's hard to tell if a player is underperforming because the entire team, regardless if it's the first 11 or the reserves, look lost for most matches. That has to be the job of the manager to find a system and a formation in a style of play that suits the individuals. Hodgson has clearly failed to do this. He has to take at least 80% of the blame IMO. Sooner or later, players just won't want to know or respond to his instructions. Our manager is supposed to be a leader. Where, if any times at all, have we seen leadership qualities in Roy? He consistently deflects blame from himself and puts it onto his players, then when his plans go t*ts up on the pitch, the players look to the man for instructions but instead find him either rubbing his face, scratching his chin, or his hole on the sideline.

disgrace really. Some of them clearly don't want to be here anymore and i'd sooner play the kids than put up with what we've seen today from the likes of Torres and Johnson.

With it being mid-season and there being a run of "winnable" games approaching there was good reason to hold off from making the change just yet, but going down like we did tonight brought back those horrible memories of Blackpool and Northampton, memories I thought we'd banished after that run of home form. It wasn't to be and I have no confidence in Roy's ability to turn it around, so I think we should get Kenny in on the interim as soon as. Then we re-assess come the end of the season.

Its more than too mate, I do agree that motivation isn't working, the ''arm around the shoulder'' type is not helping. However, some of our players are carrying on the same :censored: passion from last season to this season.

These players need to GO ASAP. Put any of the Liverpool fan on the field and they will play better than the dross we are seeing.

When Roy goes I genuinely think I'll shudder when I hear his name in realtion to LFC in the future

Fair point but even you must admit that no-one could have stopped the players giving the ball away so cheaply or being so inept at crossing the ball?
Fu*king woeful display from players with no pride or consideration for the loyal fans

As for Torres and Johnson...they can feck off. Both of them looked like they didn’t give a toss today and that’s part of our problem.

are you for fecking real. What the hell were the debates when the 'sack Rafa' debate was going on? Everyon said the problems were deeper than Rafa then, and you're playing that card now?

Don't make me laugh pal

who put together this team?  Who signed Babel, Skirtel, Johnson, Maxi and the rest of the dross for 10s of millions? The same man who signed Pennant for liverpool...you remeber Pennant? He's joined stoke for 1 million today. Yet Rafa claimed he was good enough for Liverpool.

Thats our problem...we've got players who arn't fit for the shirt and we've got a heck of a lot of them.

Nine of the players who played some part in tonight's game were part of the squad that finished second two seasons ago with 86 points so if that was a load of dross it's no wonder Rafa decided he'd had enough of Anfield.

Alonso's boyhood heroes were Real Madrid he probably would have gone regardless of the Gareth Barry situation. The same can be said of Arbeloa. Anyway at Old Trafford at St James's Park in 08-09, the two biggest wins, Lucas played in midfield not Alonso. Rafa failed because of bad squad signings but also because H&G didn't back him when the side finished second.

The present crisis has nothing to do with Rafa but everything to do with Roy's tactics and his inability to come up to scratch with managing a big club. If defeats do follow at home to Bolton and at Blackburn I can't see anyone better wanting to take on a relegation fight anyway. As i see it we're stuck with Hodgson until May.

The squad also needs a major rebuild to go with a change of manager. It'll take time to root out the sh!te we've accumulated over the years but it has to be done if we're to realise our aspirations of winning major honours again. It does my nut to see so manty fans deluding themselves by thinking that some of our first team regulars are very good players, when their limitations are there for all to see week in week out. It was the case under G&H that the squad needed a major investment in players for it to be seriously competitive. It is still the case today, if not more so.

Can any of those players honestly say hand on heart that they give their all there tonight?

Yep, most of our players won't walk into the top 4 teams right now, they might be good squad players that is about it.
