Now, to use a word as strong as that clearly has some weight behind it, especially coming from an American businessman. How I interpret that is "either you get a run of wins together, including away from home, or you're out!" It could also mean that he's already made his mind up. I'm not fond of having American owners, but these ones don't seem to be like the two thick d*ckheads before them. I think they've plans and ambitions for this club. Mid-table isn't one of those ambitions. To give Hodgson 50 million to spend would be an absolute disaster. It could set us back 10 years. Yeah, I do feel that strong about it.

wonder how he would waste his 50 million.
he could but Keane for 20, aquilani for 20 and Dossena for 7.

What's that got to do with it?

because the people that are shouting the loudest about Roy still want Rafa.
If given 50 million Roy may waste it, the point is Rafa already has.

Why argue with rocky?  He's the type of person that will defend his ideas, even if he knows that he's absolutely wrong.

It's funny how people were gurning about the previous manager underachieving with this squad last year. It's funny how the previous manager was outted for that very reason, that failing to get into the CL with this squad was deemed unacceptable. It's funny how he was supposedly sacked for those footballing reasons. What's even funnier is that people like yourself, and those in the media are now saying that it's a very poor squad Roy enherited.

Poor Roy. He was so overstaffed he had to let a few players that he could do with now go for nout on loan. Poor Roy for enheriting a squad of the likes he's never had in his entire 35 years worth of vast and illustrious experience. Poor Roy for enheriting a squad briming with international players, a side that had more playing in the recent World Cup than any other the world over. Clearly, these players are not good enough to string more than one or two away wins together, and top the likes of Newcastle and Blackpool, who of which are directly in our competition of current.

There's only so many times you can blame the squad before the sh*t doesn't stick. It hasn't stuck since day one. If Benitez underachieved (which he did without question) with this squad last season and got the jing for failing to get fourth spot, then the rules have been set. Hodgson had to get fourth or bust. On the evidence of how he has us playing and our form, that went out the window in October. People said give him 10 games, then 10 games came and no improvement,. Then they said give him 5 more games. 5 games came and gone and he got a few results against poor teams at home and that satisfied the naive until we get thumped again away. The same people then say judge him at Christmas.

Well, it's Christmas now. We're in limbo in the league with a minus goal difference with absolutely no sign that he can improve the way we play. I'll bet those of you who back Roy to the hilt without knowing why expected a comfortable win against Newcastle seeing that he had us playing so well, eh?

Get Rid. Get rid now before it's too late. Get Dalglish in at least until the end of the season, and if the players can't perform under him, well, at least we'll know who the devoted ones are to the shirt.

he derserves more time unless the owners are gona spend big in january then theres no point getting rid of roy until the summer.

Why does he deserve more time ?

cos its gona take longer than 6 months to sort out the mess of a squad rafa left him with its that simple.

Mess of a squad? Are you eyes painted on, fella? Have you not been watching how he has us playing? So deep that world class (yes, probably a shock word for you that I used that term to describe the terrible squad we have) such as Torres goes into a match having to chase 40 yard balls to him, with flat banks of 4 backing off within 15 yards of their own penalty area. Have you not done your homework and actually looked into Roy's records? That away records a standard setter, isn't it? Teams away from home will be sh*tting themselves looking at that record. It's certainly formiddable. Amazing how you're still trying to even debate this. Roy's been at 11 clubs in almost as many years. His playing style, his methods will not change no matter what players he has playing for us. He will not take us to where we want to go, but you still want him to be here? That's like cutting your nose off to spite your own face. Why do it?

so your blaming roys tactics for nando not performing. Lol its gets worse on here. Im not a roy supporter just a realist until the owners come out and say we wona spend X Amount of money on new players and we would rather give it to a new manager then fair enough il buy that. Until il back roy end of.

Rafa may well of bought another Pepe or Xabi or masher or Torres - were they also players we wasted money on ? See it's quite easy to forget the good buys when focus on the mistakes . Lets also look at Hodgsons buys as well - not exactly littered with success . Shall we go back to when he was given a large amoun of money at Blackburn ( 20 mil in 90's) and the spent 8 mil on a striker who scored 1 goal .

Rocky - every single person can see the tactics we use especially away from home don't play to the strengths of Torres - how many times have we seen Torres totally isolated chasing hoofed balls with no other Liverpool within 20 yards to support him

He was restricted mate - no one could deny that - he bought the current England right back and a midfielder with a lot of talent and is now showing that talent since he is fit . He also showed for us when he played that he was very good - it's a shame we have given him away free for a season after he finally got fit as I think he would of worked very well with Merieles

1 away goal and 1 away win. Coincidence? Torres' form is symptomatic of Roy's away tactics, yes. Were it not from a flash of brilliance from Torres against Bolton, we'd have the worst away record in the league, if not already, with a whopping zero wins.

Just you keep backing Roy. It's a good job you're in the very small minority, as the greater voice will eventually be heard.

BS ,the fact he gambled our season away on an injured player ,in a season we couldn't afford spending big money was enough to terminate him. Last year he played russian roulet on the club ,unaccaptable in any level.

Who should he off got then - please reel of the players he should of bought on the same sort of deal we got Aquilani .

First of all don't buy an INJURED player. Not to mention the Keane fiasco. And that is why he is a manager to pick the right players for the right price.

So who should he off got instead of Aquilani instead ?

If your having problems just start a new game of Football Manager as you make it seem so easy

Yes we all know Keane was a mistake and we sold him off quickly and got most of the money back ( which he was then not able to respend) and we also finished 2nd in the prem that season .

Can we agree on some basic understanding...I'm not an overpayed Football manager for one of the biggest clubs in Europe but i do know one thing - if you get a limited amount of money you don't buy an Injured player and leave your midfield without Alonso to Lucas. This single decision killed the season. It was obvious to anyone with eyes in his head. You don't base your offense on ONE player ,you just don't. Those are basic decisions. I can throw names from here to kingdom comes but that's not my point. I'm talking on principals.

The thing is we were restricted at the time and players were bought under financial constraints - we bought two current international players on deals because the selling club owed us money - so the deal was very attractive to previous owners .

Complete bollox! You have to back up a statement like that. Just because I said I'd take him back, it doesn't mean I wouldn't welcome another manager that's up to the job to come in and do the business. Again, some people's arguments on this forum are based on spite rather than what's good for the club. My case against Roy is that he's no good for this club. End of.

Yeah buying an injured Aquilani was a strange decision, even though he's an exceptional player.  Rafa made a big mistake on that one.

the jury is well and truly still out on Johnson.
Aquilani stated he was fit most of last season. He just didnt get selected hardly ever.
I dont mind your posts sometimes because you call it how you see it, regarding our set up away and Roys tactics i agree.
It does annoy me though when you try and defend things that you must surely know are indefensible.
The money wasted on Keane, Aquilani and Dossena was scandalous. The fact that it was spent at a time when money was so tight makes it all the more galling.
As alot of people defending him have been saying he had to buy to sell, well in that kind of environment its crucial you dont get the big money signings wrong.

He did, big time.

that's fair enough.

Replacing Roy would be for the good of the club imo.

So long as we are clear that Rafa coming back would not be a good idea at all.

Ok ben what did you think when we actually bought them remembering hindsight is wonderful - two current Italian internationals , an England international and a extremely experienced prem performer - when he bought them did you immediately say "wrong signing " the same way people have down with the signings of Poulsen and Konchesky
