They are the last people who should be taking the p!ss they are a few years behind our situation yet, but its coming to a ground near them very soon.

Not an appointment to get over excited about, but it could have been much much worse....Mark Hughes anyone? ???

He has lots of experience, including the EPL, which none of the other candidates really did, has managed a BIG club before in Inter, and seems to be fairly well respected in the game and hopefully by our players.

His first test will be securing Torres and Gerrard for at least one more season.  I fear he may not manage it.

At least we have someone in place in time for the transfer window, and he has already said that he will get the funds from any sales to invest.  He may well have a busy July then.

Best of luck to him, and bring on the first game.

Well it is official now.. he has my support .. but how we do will clearly  depend on who stays!

I see this as the prelude to Gerrard and Carra getting their badges and becoming managers/coaches in the future.

according to the interview with Roy he's meeting Stevie this afternoon. I hope Stevie doesn't give us or the boss the run around and I hope he honestly comes out and says what he intends to do, even if it's 'sorry Roy but I'm moving on'. Stevie needs to be up front now and honest otherwise he may leave us with a bad taste towards him if he gives the club the run around.

C'mon Roy - secure our captains future.

As for Carra, well he knows he aint going anyhere and to be honest if sponge bob square pants took the managers job Carra would still turn out every week for us.

Probability to stay at the club (in my opinion only)...

Carra 100%
Stevie 80%
Torres 90%
Masch 40%
Reina 100%
Kuyt, Babel, ngog, Lucas 40%

I think the team just needs to hear some reassurances and have a cuddle.

group hug!

yes i can. it's SSN after all. everyone who contacts that station or listens to that channel is a whopper. fact.

expect them to also talk to "fans" stood outside anfield later who all conveniently slag the manager off and say he's not the man blah blah blah.

If Stevie goes, he goes

I rather he stayed but at 30 and we got some silly money for him then I could see a silver lining

Though if that money ended up with the bloodsuckers then it really wouldnt be a silver lining

fck me when did supporting a football team become so  fcking complicated
