Football is a relatively simple game and Roy knows it ;)

Anyway now back to the inital point

Lets hope that Hodgson learns a lot from what went wrong on Monday night so that it doesnt happen again .

It was always going to be a learning curve and hopefully we can get a moral boosting win for the players the fans and himself on thurs but more importantly at weekend against West Brom - we need a win against them and Brum before we arrive at the Mancs

Everyone including the manager is open to criticism.  Some were criticizing Poulsen before he played.
Being Liverpool manager is all about constant scrutiny.  Roy is a big boy and im sure he can take it.

I thought the tactics were wrong the other night and Roy did nothing to change it.  Im also concerned about Aqua going on loan.

But to be honest, Roy deserves a fair chance.  The team still look off the pace due to having so many players at the WC and lack of a "squad" (We're a few players short).  After the transfer window closes and when we have a bit more match fitness im expecting us to be doing better.

Roy made some big mistakes in that game but he is new to the LFC job. I think he inherited a terrible squad from benitez and he has a monumental job to get us into the top 4 considering Spurs and City are spending a fortune. We are in that silly Europa league thing for a reason.

Hodgson will get a chance - no doubt about it mate

Not sure the WC can be used as an excuse mate as all the top teams had players there .

Lack of players is spot on thou but thats down to our owners .

The owners spent over 35m last summer. We have a full back and a guy out on loan from it.

And where did the money fom to buy those players - from players going out . Not going to go over old history its happened and cant be changed now . We need strengthening massively and we cant because of the owners not wanting to spend a penny over what we recoup so we dont end up strengthening the squad . The managers hands are tied behind his back .

would be interesting to see what Roy will do with the Masch transfer cash. Does he have players earmarked for all of the cash, or will be bring in one and wait until Jan

You can strengthen a squad by buying wise and selling dear, just because you spend only what comes in doesn't mean the squad can't improve. Rafa wasted money left, right and centre, doesn't mean the squad improved, just mean all the 'net spend' theorists had a wa nk fe st

The problem there is at the moment is the lack of time left in the transfer wondow - am i right in thinking it shuts next tuesday ?

Also how much of the money from Mashers transfer and possibly Kuyts transfer will the manager get to spend

I think they get an extra 480 hours because the month ends in a 'T', there's a bank holiday in August, the managers had a good whinge, there is an R is theRe, the pope declared it was only fair and that a black man's ar se wasn't, O'Neill has only just started looking at signings now he's walked................... etc etc

Honestly neither know nor care, we needed to sell Mascherano sooner rather than let it drag on and give buyers the upper hand, we needed to sort out a LB long before deciding it is Agger and all in all the numbers might balance but has much changed?

I think Paul Konchesky is coming in, which will sort out the left back situation.

Konchesky is better than Insua and better than having Agger there . He is a decent enough player and solid
