Absoloute joke of a decision yet again.

He did nothing in the twenty minutes up to his substitution.

Kuyt and Lucas done nothing during the whole 90 minutes, whats your point?

I can agree with that to an extent, but neither did Kuyt.

If we are talking about getting Robbies confidence back then taking him off again after he scored a really good goal is not the best way of doing it.
I would of subbed Kuyt and left Keane on, especially as he has played far less than the dutchman lately.

He is part of a TEAM, if he can't take being subbed then he's not much of a pro. We can't make substitutions based on one player's confidence and him playing 90 mins every week.

I think he is instinctive and when he thinks about what he's doing then he's rubbish. He didn't finish like a man lacking confidence yesterday, maybe that's simply a smokescreen/excuse for lack of returns

MY point is that he did nothing in the twenty minutes up to his substitution.

rafa's substitutions have been absolutely scandalous in the last couple of games, what the hell has to happen for Kuyt to be taken off and 1 upfront vs 10 men? jesus h. christ we will never get a better opportunity to beat Arsenal on there own patch, 1 man down there best player injured and there second best player sent off. The mind boggles  :suspect:

He's started scoring early in games and hopefully found his shooting boots.

Couldn't have come at a better time. Especially with Nando available soon too :)

I agree, some of the best football we have seen him play in a red shirt.

2 great goals and nice build-up play as well. If Carragher's ball had a bit more juice it would have meant his hat-trick and if not for a good tackle his backwards pass to Ngog would have put him clean through.

Lets hope that he continues in this vein of form

Yep. Out of everyone I am most happy for him (and im a big Insua fan btw! :D)

Hes a quality player and he is starting to show it in goals for us. Keep it up is all I can say. Dare I question how good we can be if he keeps on as is he and Torres gets back to form. Tasty!

Made up for him and long may his developing purple patch continue.  Please Rafa, rest Nando against the barcodes and go 4-4-2 with Keane and Kuyt again.  Torres needs a complete recovery and now that Keane's regained some confidence, it's important he keeps getting opportunities to add to his goal tally.

Hopefully, having pulled Keane off early in so many matches means that he is fit enough to start and put in another great performance on Sunday.

Heard him on the radio the other day..he sounded confident!
"I KNOW I'll score a lot of goals for this club"He said
All coming good for him at the right time..just when Nando is on his way back.Considering we are top with Keane being mostly poor and Nando being mostly out I defy anyone that watches football to doubt us now for the biggy!
That was the best team performance we have had this season today..totally made up here!!

I love them!! :buttrock

We played well as a unit and keane was superb today , his movement off the ball was fantastic , his passing was good , set up ngog beautifully in the dieing minutes . He's a good player keane when utilised right , he's always been a 2nd striker and plays best with a partner alongside him . Made up for him and if he can get 15 to 20 goals in total this season i'd be happy with that . 7 Goals now and 5 assist already .
