What do you all think is more important?, and what should we be focusing on this season?

Personally, I think the premiership is more important, we need to be a force agian domestically, and get the title back after  14 years of waiting.

The CL is a great competiton and we need to be playing in it for the financial benefits it provides, but if we do well in Europe this year it is just a bonus. We should be focusing on being a force in England before we are a force in Europe again.

What are your thoughts??

The premiership is more important.  Being strong domestically is always more important than being strong in Europe.  Its like my local club side, we'd much rather win the local A-Grade premiership than the Bill Turner (Australia-wide) Cup.
(even though we won both last year  :D )

that question's a bit mad like, bit pointless like.

without a thought, the prem.
its not the chilli sauce on kebabs that give you ring-sting, its the actual meat. had one without chilli, and still had ring-sting. the chilli's only there to mask the nonsense they stuff inside that bread.

A certain Bill shankly once said, "this is our bread and butter and this is the one that we want to win all the time". I'll second that.

The most important thing is that we remain in the top three at least for the next couple of seasons giving us entry to the CL and all that cash plus prestige. I would hope under Rafa we are SERIOUS challengers for the Prem title next season  (I don't think we are at present) as that title should be our main target, after that the CL crown could be on the cards. :)  :)  :)

thought it would be overwhelming , but there are clubs out there like Man U in the past and Real Madrid, who sacked Del Bosque even though they won la liga, who value the CL more, usually to there detriment.

To win the CL would give LFC a tonne of cash to build on. I'd prefer the CL, it would obviously give you respect with top players in whe world

It would be great to win the CL but it's still only a knock out cup. ( ok, it's a big knock out ).

The prem is a league that requires a consistant level of form and has more pride behind it in my eyes.

yeah but we'd probably lose to the romania version on Norwich.

I dont think it should be whats more important, but more realistic.
I reckon we have far more chance to win the champions league, than the premiership. Just beacause its a cup comptetition and rank outsiders can do well. Just look at FC porto last year, they were not regarded as likely winners, or monaco who got to the semis. We could beat the likes of these teams with the right 11 out.

The bonus would be to win it, it would shut the mancs up for a long time, and there would be a lot of cash and recognition to come.
