Our year - When?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Rafas Amigo » Mon Jan 17, 2005 9:00 pm

As a liverpool fan who has not seen his team win a league title since 1990 I find myself in numerous slagging matches with fans of other clubs. My response is always that next year will be our year...definatly!!

But its not, every year brings fresh hope but with it a false dawn. Are we getting closer or further away from the top?

Rafa is only in the hot seat for a while now and i have to admit things are looking brighter and more promising under him but we finished 30 points from the top last year and its only january and we are 21 points from away chelsea having lost 8 games.

I hope next year is our year like i have been telling everyone and Rafa turns out to be the messiah we think he is

the thing is that chelsea have really moved the goal posts and it will take a while for the other clubs to catch up, a lot of players in the premiership admit that what chelsea have done is extraordinary and have come out and said it.

i would gauge our season on how much we have caught up with the scum and arsenal

but again they have had a brillaint season, they have accumulated more points so far than they did all last season. but all their players are playing for new contracts and so you will get a side who are gonna battle cos if they dont they arent getting a new contract

4th spot this season, maybe a cup and ill be made up, cos i wouldnt of expected that at all at the start of the season

I don't have much hope for the future of LFC winning the Premiership, how can you compete with Chelseas money, it's sickening.

You can't say when it's going to be our time, all you can say is that it's Rafa's first season and from the changes he has made so far the club is going forward, I think next year will will be catching Man U and the scum, MAYBE the season after next we will over take them and start challenging for the title.

All I care about this season is that we finish 4th :;):

we've got no chance of catching chelsea in the foreseeable future. look who's sponsoring them next season. :(
