Its great to have 2 english clubs in the semis, especially when it isnt Arsenal and Man Utd.
Cant wait to get to the ground tomorrow, should be an electric atmosphere, if its half as good as Barcelona it will be special.
Obviously your going to have a fair few down, and you are normally one of the more vocal sets of fans.
I have a lot of respect for Liverpool and have got many friends who are longtime supporters.
So I wish you all well and welcome you to the Bridge.

redemption is yours

Good post, glad it's got sensible again! I think if we put 5 across the middle with cisse the lone striker (if fit), and look to grab an away goal, I really think in front of a packed house at anfield we can upset the form book (again) and put them out! Am I the only one getting butterflies already?

I really like playing at home first. Make sure you get a clean sheet and then the oppostion will be under pressure at their own place. While their opprunity to get an away goal is gone we have a whole match, they will be seriosly afraid of letting in an away goal.

Seems like we will have a strong squad to choose from. The back 4 picks itself, Riise will definatley play left midfield and Baros will start up front by himself.

The main decisions are who will play off the main striker and who will play on the right.

               Dudek

Finnan Hyypia Carragher Troare

Garcia Alonso Biscan Riise

         Gerrard
                    Baros

or

Nunez Alonso Gerrard Riise

         Garcia
                  Baros

or even

Gerrard Biscan Alonso Riise

          Garcia
                    Baros

Subs

Cisse
Kewell
Le Tallec
Smicer
Nunez/Biscan
Warnock
Carson

right, so we need to stop living in the past do we? the fact is, despite not winning the league for 15 years, we've still won more trophies in the last 5 years than you have in your history.

i have nothing against abramovich. the fact is, if he was at our club we'd be loving him. what i don't like is the attitude of the majority of chelsea fans who now just assume that they are a big club when they've done bugger all in their history. were these fans going when you were getting 12,000 gates in the 2nd division. i doubt it.

also, as good as you are on the pitch, the way you conduct yourselves off the pitch is nothing short of a disgrace.

I think the thing is I can only talk for myself and not all of  the Chelsea fans, I have been going to Chelsea since 1978 and have been at matches where the crowd was once as low as 6000 for a Zenith Cup game, I have seen us relegated and been to some away grounds that were only just standing.
But in the last 8 years or so I have travelled abroad to some of the greatest grounds in Europe and now we are a match for anyone on the pitch it is electrifying and well deserved for supporters like myself who have travelled everywhere for years.
I have visted over 60 grounds in this country alone and consider myself an old school Chelsea fan.
I dont boast of being a big team, but I do feel we have the potential to get there.

Looking forward to the return leg at Anfield.
I think the only ground to rival yours for an evening kick off believe it or not is Upton Park under the floodlights.
