Next season's ideal eleven - What would be your realistic 11?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Big AL  - Parker on the bench?  Finnan right midfield? Stam -wake up.

Your the only person I would want to replace GH to make the scum even worse

Well i believe we have some good player's but just need a few new signing's. I will be realistic in my starting line up.

This team is made up of what we already have.

                        Dudek

   Finnan   Henchoz   Hyypia   Carragher

   Diouf     Gerrard      Hamann    Kewell

                   Owen   Pongolle
------------------------------------------------------------

Out of possible signing's i would have this.

                         Dudek

   Finnan   Boumsong   Hyypia   Carragher

  Malbranque   Gerrard     Hamann  Kewell

                      Owen   Cisse
------------------------------------------------------------
Here's a line up i think would be quite intresting.

                          Dudek

   Finnan  Boumsong    Hyypia    Carragher

            Gerrard    Hamann    Kewell

                           Cisse

                    Owen     Pongolle
------------------------------------------------------------
Just a thought!

Why does everyone want Martin O'neill as manager? no-one seems to think Scots or SPL players are good enuff for the Premiership, yet O'neill is? We're gonna be stuck with GH for the rest of the season, without a guarantee of Champions League next season so why would MO come to Anfield? Take a look at Man U after they waited with Fergie, tho it grieves me to say so, and accept we're where they were in the late 80's. My ideal 11? Below, and yes, I'm sticking with Houllier....

                          Kirkland

Carragher      Hyypia         Henchoz      Otsemebor

           Kewell       Gerrard        Riise

                          Murphy

                   Owen         Baros

As anyone can see, I've got faith in the players that are there, but I reckon Owen's gotta be told sign or go in January, don't make us lose £25million should we not get 4th place. Who would replace Owen.......we got Pongo and Le Tallec so start there. Mind, we could offload Biscan, Cheyrou, Diiao and Diouff and maybe recoup £50,000!!!
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

KennyisGod.....that side you have picked has 5th place written all over it.

There's a serious lack of pace in the heart of the defence, little ball playing ability from the back, and Riise and Murphy are simply not top four side players.

Also, Baros is still unproven and has only scored something like 10-15 goals for us. Both he and Pongolle might be very good players in two or three years but that's a very big "might", and neither are good enough to make us championship challengers at the moment or in the foreseeable future.

I honestly think we need wholesale changes. A new manager, a new centre half, a new left back, a new right sided midfielder, a decent ball playing central midfielder to have in reserve plus a new and proven centre forward.

The current group of players, with about 5 exceptions, are nowhere near good enough to challenge for the title.

Houllier's side reached its peak in 2002 but the Premiership has moved on since then.

My proposals are:

Sell Dudek, Biscan, Troare, Babbel, Heskey, Cheyrou, Smicer, Mellor, Diouff and Diao.

Bring in:
William Gallas: he and Marcel Dessailley are likely to be let go by Chelsea in the summer.

Vincent Candela: A world class attacking left back who wouldn't cost the earth.

Steed Malbranque: proven in the Premiership, potentially French national team regular.

Mark Viduka: a gamble, but would surely score goals for Liverpool.

I'd love for us to go back in for Nicholas Anelka, who has looked unhappy at Man City in the past few months.

As for Scott Parker, is he really that much better than Danny Murphy when you think about it?

Ideal and realistic some of these 11's are not.

Ideal and realistic ...hmmmmm I will try !!

                               Kirkland

Carragher             Mexes Hyypia            Ostembor

Ovemars??           Stevie.G.  D.Hamman         Kewell

                         Owen     Viduka

Sell:
Heskey - may get some money from Lecister
Diouf - Send him packing back to Senegal
Diao - read Diouf
Risse - not playing to the potential he lauded when signed
Henchoz - Surplus to requirements

Buy:

Viduka - for obvious reasons. Strong in the box
Cisse - must get, or will go to Man U
A Goal Keeper - and then maybe offoad Dudek
Alan Smith - maybe - get a bit of mongrel back
Malbranque - Need midfield depth

Many others to mention

Oh and get rid of Gerard Foolier
Before he completely stuffs up the greatest team in the universe.

I look forward to your comments

God bless

Are you serious with that team you named?

I think it's a bit on the young and weak side!

I don't know why you all have bad feeling's with Jerzy Dudek, i still think he's world class even though he's made some daft mistake's, look at David James and the mistake's he made, sometime's he reminded me of Bruce at his antic's. But look what James did, he went on and got through his misfortune's and became a regular in the England squad. Anyway you should all be behind Jerzy and help him through his rough patch and keep faith in him, he will shine again for us and he has the chance to do just that since Kirkland is out for three or four week's with his finger injury.

In general i think we have a fine bunch of lad's after the exeption of about eight player's. What we need to do is sell them and buy in only three or four replacement's that will give us the good's, i think all three starting eleven's i named are quite good. I would love to see my last line-up in action with the new signing's, i think it would be a pretty hard side to beat!

What drugs are you on, man?!?

That might be a good side to enter into the under 18s cup....

Anyway, I very much doubt if any of even the most hardened and knowledgeable of Liverpool fans have seen Alou Diarra play football (unless you are a big fan of French second division football) so I cannot possibly see how you could pick him in centre midfield!

I have seen Alou Diarra play many times for Le Havre and Bastia as well as the frech U21 side in the past, let me tell you that he is a very good player in the Patrick Viera mould.

I think the critism of my team is unfair, there is some quality there and they would just get better and better with time, maybe 1 or 2 'old heads' should be in there.

FANS NOW WANT TO GET LIVERPOOL BACK TO WINNING WAYS NOT START OFF WITH ANOTHER TEAM OF WILL BE'S IN THE FUTURE
NO PROBLEM WITH BRINGING IN YOUNG PLAYERS BUT WE NEED THEM FOR BACK UP AND PROB CANT AFFORD TO BRING IN BACK UP PLAYERS AS WELL AS WHAT WE NEED TO GO BACK TO WINNING WAYS STRAIGHT AWAY
