Next season's ideal eleven - What would be your realistic 11?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Yeah Guti is a class player. Ive been impressed with him everytime ive seen him. But would he really want to take that 'massive' step down to Liverpool? Im sure he really wants to play in the Champions League. Anyway Kermit wont be able to attract top class players because who wants to play for a toad.

GIVE ME ANY ELEVEN PLAYERS THAT WILL WANT TO GO OUT ON THE PITCH AND FIGHT TO WIN AND A MANAGER WITH ENOUGH PASSION FOR LFC AND THAT WILL DO ME
DON'T WANT BIG EXPENSIVE SIGNINGS SOMETIMES THEY DONT WORK
GIVE ME A PLAYER WHO WANTS TO GO OUT AND PLAY FOOTBALL FOR THE LOVE OF HIS TEAM AND THAT PLAYER CAN TAKE ON THE MOST EXPENSIVE SIGNINGS YOU WOULD SEE
WE'VE SEEN IT IN OUR OWN CLUB UNFORTUNATLY PLAYERS COME IN ,BIG MONEY ,DON'T PERFORM AT LEAST NOT IN THE SAME WAY THEY WOULD IF IT WAS THERE DREAM CLUB TO PLAY AT
YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE

:blues:

Give me some fight upfront in alan smith
some flair in the middle - van de vaart
and some stability at the back - dawson

Oh and a new manager  - not being picky or anything.

No offence 'Chinesegirl' but the only thing that GH is fit for is to manage a team in the Chinese football league because the Premiership is a 'big pond' for 'big boys'.

Well Alan Smith will probably get more yellow cards than goals as he has managed at Leeds, not sure Dawson is Premiership quality, but I can't disagree with Van Der Vaart

I wish we'd steal O'Shea from manure, he could be a quality signing. I doubt we'd get him though  :(

O shea looks a promising player, reminds me of a young tony adams. But I agree we have no chance of signing him.

:D this may be the year to pick up a bargain-- the league is so close that several quality players may be going down and therefore freed up-- but january is the time to cherrypick Leeds-- viduka would give impact and would be marketable to sell on to italy but on the other hand allan smith would give the nasty spark that is now missing--

therfore sign martin o'neil, nicky butt, viduka or smith
sell dufus, smicer, murphy, heskey, dudek, cheyrou

o'shea would be a pipe dream but what about wes brown or luke chadwick-- could they be surplus to sir alec ?-- we have to get some quality players from winning programs- they would be sweet

My ideal 11 for next year

                    ?

?          ?                   ?       ?

?      Gerrard           ?    Kewell

           ?            Owen

Whoever can fill the gaps gets the managers gig.

I don't see the point trying to guess who Kermit might buy, we all know in our heart of hearts that he will be here until the end of the season and any money spent in January will be small and probably on some useless froggy footballer who has the potential to be the next Henry, Vieira or Zidane ???

Well to be realistic, i don't really know if Liv still got much money left after crazy shopping spree from Hou. and no champion league.... The current squad can be quite good with a few new faces..

                    Kirland
Finnan   Hyypia  Gallas  Carrager

Malbranque Didi H.   S.G    Kewell

                Viduka Owen

Sub: Dudek,Baros,Le Tallec,Welsh, Ostembor,Pongolle

Totally agree with John Barnes' Granny on" Malbranque is a class act"......cannt understand why Houl didnt buy him last season when he wanted to leave..The guy's skill is just amazing. He's smart as well. Viduka will be very good partner for owen, can score lots of goals as well as create goals cos he's so good at holding to the ball.(He's world calss to me)  The defence will be vey solid to me though carra can never attack. The young talent Ostembor can come in to play if more att is needed.

The rest just sell or throw away.....
