We're talking about arguably the best striker in world football here , If we had received 90 million for Suarez we would have still been viewed as getting screwed.

Move on.

If anybody is naive enough to believe that LFC agreed interest free stage payments over five years then I feel sorry for them !! Looks like an absolute load of garbage.

Admittedly I'm no expert on this type of thing but I thought most transfers these days involved payment in stages.

I know that a lot of you have bandied about the 75m figure for Suarez, but I haven't seen a single source come outside of Liverpool that verifies this.

All I have constantly seen is this abhorrent 65m figure that Barcelona so smugly told the world they paid for the 3rd best player on the planet. Disgusting.....  :no

Eds, today the guy's worth 100 million however at the height of his world cup biting scandle he had to go and we got 65-70-75 million for him. It was frustrating however we had little choice, he forced his way out but the club also knew the FA would have made another example of him etc... he became toxic. He's grown up a lot since then however he will always be 'the one that got away'. Lets move on.

Suarez screwed us good and proper to force his move out. It showed total disrespect for the club, which had stuck by him through racism accusations and previous biting. He wanted out and he got his wish, with a cut price move because he was (and still is) just one incident away from a 12 month ban.

Great player, no doubt, but also an utter c**t who didn't care one bit about LFC.

They are indeed... Question (accepted that Daily Star are pretty scummy) would they really publish an April Fools day joke like that ? Then would the Express (who have an OK reputation) then repeat it ?

Alot more stories about this middle east takeover today. The man behind the takeover is Sheik Khalifa who is estimated to be worth 30billion and would be the richest owner of the epl.
