My indictment of the rafa benitez regime

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Whatever the King says, has to be listened to, and even though I'll love Benitez for all eternity for what he's done to this club, I can't want him as our manager anymore. For me, he's taken us as far as he can and unless he's removed quickly, the only way from being at the top is down. Benitez has taken us to the highest he can, we've been at our top under him, now it's only downwards.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

I think everyone agrees that Torres and crouch is our own really optio upfront (unless Babel giben a go as a centre forward), yet against Sunderland they started up front for just the fifth time. Maybe they had to be introduced to each other before the game.

Rafa will never win the league, probably never even challenge for it.

I have a question for the Rafa blind faith gang, if he starts Kewell and Kuyt against Chelsea and we get absolutely mullered without creating any chances will you still call him a genius?

I have a really bad feeling that he'll revert back to Kuyt and if he does that then we have no chance in the game. Even with Crouch playing upfront with Torres it's going to be bloody hard but at least we'll have a chance.

In any case what else was King Kenny going to say after he received the award FROM Rafa, that he sucked and should be replaced immediately!  :D

I have not given up on Kewell yet, but if he plays Kuyt against Chelsea I will move over to the darkside and join you. Unless Crouch is injured there should be no reason to play Kuyt.

hang on now, I have always given Rafa credit for our European success haven't I! If we beat Chelsea with some clever tactics and shrewd subs then of course I will give Rafa credit, if however he starts with Kuyt and Kuyt plays sh1t as always then I will show no mercy whatsoever.

Now I've answered your question, so please answer mine!

so Dirk Kuyt starting will be why we will lose to Chelsea? Do ya not think there's about a million different things that can change the outcome of a game? What if Kuyt scores a hatrick but we lose 4-3? What if Kewell sets them all up? what if, as has happened several times this season Crouch starts and has a nightmare? Does it really matter anymore because even if we win we'll get the "yes it was a good result...but we'll never win the league with Rafa" speech from the usual suspects who will NEVER change their minds unless Benitez is given the time and actually nails it.

It'll be Kuyt against Chelsea, Crouch against Barsnley and back to Kuyt for the Inter game. But while Dirk Kuyt is wearing a Liverpool shirt, we as fans have to back him and support him. So come on Dirk lad go get yourself a hat-trick and make most of us, especially me, eat our words. Same goes for Benitez, while he's here lets back him to get it right, rather than go into games with a negative attitude.

I totally agree with this, I really like Kuyt although I actually don't like Rafa, he's :censored: me off too many times. I would love to see Kuyt get a hat trick or maybe just a goal. :D

In any case I want to see them all do well for the TEAM, the only thing that matters to me is the team I don't care about individuals, I back all the players and the manager on match day, but afterwards.   :wwww

On the other comment, I totally agree that many things can affect a football game but starting Kuyt will not be one of the things which makes us beat Chelsea!!

I don't like Benitez meself, but while he's the manager of our club, our fans have to back him. Even if we want to see the back of him, which I do. As for Kuyt, well I never wanted him from day 1, but I've tried to give him chances, he's not cutting it, but again we have to back to the lad.

But you are NOT backing him in any way! if you were Dirk Kuyt and were on these forums what would you think? You'd be gutted, its no real suprise that he hasnt been the same since his father passed away, he hasnt always been a bad player regardless of what people on here say, at the end of last season most of us thought he'd had a pretty good 1st season and were expecting big things from him this year, it hasnt materialized and he has been pretty poor in recent months, but he's far from a waste of space

I am backing Kuyt, I'm desperate for the lad to go out and score, just because I don't want him doesn't mean I'm not backing him while he's here. I personally didn't think he did have a great year last season. I still thought he was a poor player, but this year the goals haven't even came and he's working twice as hard this year, and because he's working so hard, he's running out to positions where he can't score. Calm the work rate down, and I think he'll start scoring again. Also players who aren't performing have to expect criticism. It was alright for Kuyt to give "home truths" to the players at half time against Havant and Waterlooville, but because he's ran into some stick on here, we're all in the wrong?

Its not a question of right and wrong, everone has the right to an opinion, I myself feel that on current form he shouldnt be starting, the point is its hippocritical to say that you back him but then to slaughter him at every opportunity

Well if I didn't back him, then I'd be more of a hyprocrite for saying I want Liverpool to succeed except Kuyt. I want the lad to do well, I just can't see it happening, doesn't mean I'm not backing the lad.

Going off topic, just like to make a note of respect for the Munich Disaster, 50th anniversary today. I hope the Liverpool faithful don't boo during the Chelsea game, during the minute silence this Sunday (should we have 1, which I think we should and we should respect)
