Mk Dons sign Dietmar Hamann as player-coach

Hamann won two German Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich
Mk Dons have signed former Liverpool and Germany midfielder Dietmar Hamann on a one-year contract.

The 36-year-old, who has not played a professional game since leaving Manchester City in July last year, will become a player-coach at the club.

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson worked as a youth coach at Anfield while Hamann was a player there.

He made 191 Premier League appearances for Liverpool and won the Champions League with them in 2005.

This is the kind of news I like reading about Hamman, and not personal problems aired in the press.

Best wishes for a ver good midfielder, that I think he could have been in the club a bit longer, I would have liked to count on him at least one or two seasons more, he left a bit early.
