Saviola is kinda like Owen.. then u got Viduka, smith toa lesser extent and maybe even Kluivert. Why not go for chevchenko? I wouldnt mind Pauletta either. The talent is out there and if we are gonna get around £25mil for him then ud have to take a serious look at it if thats what owen wants as well. Id rather win the league with him tho :blues:

The best option is not to sell him.

But if we had to replace him then....Henry or Ronaldo :D

Baros and Pongolle are already better than Owen.

Pongolle looks a superb prospect.

Only time will tell if he will become as good as Michael though.

Banana your comments are laughable and pathetic and also knowledgeless.

Theres opinions and facts, Owen is better than Pongolle and Baros.... FACT!!!!

Asswhole!!

Listen I have said this before, and now I say it again.

Keegan was replaced by Dalglish.

Dalglish replaced by Rush.

Rush replaced bt Aldo.

Aldo replaced by Rush (again).

Rush replaced by Fowler.

Fowler replaced by Owen.

Owen replaced by ?

I was myself worried when each of them left, Liverpool Football Club will go on and on and on

Leon i agree mate but the time to let Owen go isn't at the moment.

And that doesn't validate what Banana says. :)

I dont think we can replace Owen, but I pray we dont get caught out by the Bosnam ruling and see Mikey leave for nothing.  If Barcelona want him then maybe Kluivert coming the other way would be something to lift our sorrow, but then again whats his temperment like?  I cant think of Liverpool without Michael Owen though and I just dont want to think of him not being part of our team that fights back to the top again.

Kluivert is not the player he once was. And his wages are in the region of 100k-120k Id rather have Owen given his 100k a week to stay.

I admit Owen was a good player in the years 1998-2001. After that NO. Hs career has been plagued with injuries. This has made him lose his most valuable asset. His pace. Now he is slower than most defenders. He has never been strong or technically gifed. This is my opinion.

Some players fade away. This was why Fergusson sold Yorke and Cole. Some players do not act like professionals. This was why Wenger sold Anelka. Some players have lost their edge. This is why Barca sold Rivaldo. And this is why we need to sell Owen.

Look mate its ssooooooo easy to sell owen but its sooooooo hard top to replace him. Anybody with equal or better ability wont think of coming to anfield we're lucky he started here or we could have never gotten him.
We cant afford to sell him now.If he leaves I'm sure Gerrard would follow do you want that? Also a class and famous player like Owen makes us more attractive.
Better players would want to join us....
