Mario Balotelli could end his Liverpool nightmare by returning to AC Milan after the Italians confirmed talks over a move.  AC Milan want Liverpool to pay 50 per cent of Balotelli’s £80,000-a-week basic wage.

This is all Rogers fault!! Why take a risk on a player that was never going to fit in at this club? We were always going to struggle to offload him if it didn't work out. It was the same situation for AC Milan last year, but fortunately for the them we gave them £16m for him. If we could've offloaded Ballotelli and Borini I'm pretty sure we would have bought a DM.

When we signed Mario I said at the time it was a risk worth taking and I still stand by that. Sometimes you take a punt on a player with proven quality and baggage to match. We did it with Suarez and profited, we did it with Mario and lost out. That's football.

If Mario had actually been a hit we'd be looking at a 30 million asset. A big IF I know...

I hope we get Milan to pay his wages and take him on loan. Hopefully he'll have a decent season and force his way back into the Italy team for the European Championships. That will then push his stock up and we might recoup most of our transfer fee.

Milan want him on loan with no loan fee or a commitment to buy and for Liverpool to pay 70% (?) of his wages. I thought Carroll was a bad deal......

Balotelli would refuse to take part in certain training drills; when games of five-a-side were arranged.

Balotelli also ignored Rodgers' request go applaud the away fans away at West Ham after the game.

We all know it was a gamble bringing him here in the first place. Anyhow its better for us that his going to go.
His laziness, lack of effort and pointless presence did not help us at all.
I don't think he will ever settle at one club. His club history speaks for itself.

Milan read riot act to Mario Balotelli: No smoking, no nightclubs, no fancy haircuts

Serie A outfit out to curb Liverpool striker's behaviour after taking him back on loan

AC Milan only agreed to take Mario Balotelli back to the San Siro after the Liverpool striker signed up to a strict code of conduct.

Balotelli, who has rejoined the Serie A outfit on a season-long loan, has been banned from smoking, having ‘extravagant hairstyles’ and visiting nightclubs.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan CEO Adriano Galliani and new boss Sinisa Mihajlovic have read the riot act to Balotelli about his off-field conduct and warned him he must comply with the club’s rules.

The code of conduct includes:

* Ensuring Balotelli will not damage the image of the club and his Twitter, Facebook and Instagram posts will be closely monitored.

* Toning down his ‘extravagant hairstyles’

* Wearing clothes ‘in keeping with the style of a club like Milan’

* Cutting out his smoking habit

* Always showing up on time and banned from visiting nightclubs

Balotelli finds himself back at Milan - just 12 months after they sold him to Liverpool for £16million. He will compete with fellow new signings Carlos Bacca and Luiz Adriano for a place in Milan’s attack.

“Did I think I would return to Milan? Yes, I always had Milan in my heart and I always had hope that I would return one day,” he said.

“I’m happy to have returned. I have little to say, just that I’m looking forward to train and prove my worth.

“I’m physically well - I just have to train with the squad. I have a lot of motivation but I just have to work and not speak.

“Will I end my career here? I just have to start to work and have a good year, just have to work and that’s that.”

suppose he fires into life at Milan, becomes a massive part of their team, bags loads of goals and WE watch his value rise to £20m. Then whos made a f*ck up? not us.
It's a gamble worth taking, we're already £16m in so that's done now regardless but if he increases his value then we'll have no problem off loading him and making a profit
