Lucas is NOT GOOD ENOUGH! And will NEVER BE GOOD ENOUGH! Raul Meireles' 15 minutes cameo appearance showed the difference in class. When he came on, the ball suddenly got passed forward faster with more purpose and intent. Lucas' commitment is 100% but sadly, he is just an average player at best. He serves no purpose in his play.

I respect the views of people who support Lucas but in my humble opinion, he is :censored:!

Lucas is like a ghost, anyone can get past him.
He is like Patrick Swayze in the movie Ghost..he is there, but he cant touch anyone, everybody can get past him.

I agree, don't rate him at all, what worries me is the last 2 league games we have had Lucas and Poulsen in centre midfield.
Clearly it hasn't worked, I just hope the manager realises that soon.

Was just a passenger again against Birmingham - wandered around the centre of the park with no urgency and just looked lost ,offered nothing throughout the game.

Funny how he keeps getting selected for Brazil though, there are some hidden attributes in him surely. :D

This forum gets worse.Reasons why i dont post anymore. Some of the people posting  are just completly writing off players have not one thing good to say at all.Its almost like some of you just want us to do bad so you can enjoy slaging the team off.

Like this post for example is actually funny, considering even after his 10 minutes performance tonite i saw him make two good strong tackles

''Lucas is like a ghost, anyone can get past him.
He is like Patrick Swayze in the movie Ghost..he is there, but he cant touch anyone, everybody can get past him.''

Like maybe your a wide up merchant or im the idiot here but iv scanned one page here and i havnt seen one good word about lucas, yet roy hodgson ,rafa benitez see him good enough to play for liverpool, plus he is part of a brazil squad.now i mite be the delusional one but if im on the same boat as benitez hodgson dn the brazil manager then let me be delusional.

I'm really happy for him, after that goal.  He really needed a confidence boost.

Great goal from our 'Brazilian' last night. He actually looked like decent player when he came on last night. Assured passing and composure on the ball and a cracking goal. Hope he keeps it up cos from what I saw of Merieles and what Ive seen of Poulsen I think we will be using/needing him more than we imagined this season.

Good goal from Lucas but he had plenty of time to shoot the ball and I was surprised that no one was near him(for over 2 seconds) to actually clear the ball. Really, anyone that actually plays football in real life knows he's an average footballer. Not sure why so many managers like the above poster mentioned chose to play him. IMO Leivapool will never win anything with Lucas playing in the starting line up as he has been dragging us back like the twelve man from the opposite team. Conceding free kicks and passing the ball to the opposite team like he was paid to do so. To be honest, I wish someone can count the average number balls he gave away while not under pressure. It felt like one every two forward balls he pass, it's driving me nuts.

My mate said that  :D

But to be fair that was a great shot.
I dont care if anyone says he had time, that was a really top strike.
