He lived in Hoylake and went to Hilbre Comp school in West Kirby, was in the same year as my sister in law.

Mission accomplished with just 3 more games to go
I reckon Manure's due to drop a game soon
Arseanal should beat them, but I'm hoping for a miracle win from the other clubs
We're way overdue for a premiership trophy
C'mon you Reds!!!!!

Hahhahahaha.........see guys....I told ya we just needed to show up and we would batter these. :D we had 31(11) fukking shots on the goal as compared to their 5(0). Reina should have taken a trip to Spain rather than wasting time there.  :p

On a sad note, we should really have won it by 7-0 or 8-0 :(  :p

goal difference is virtually locked up.

For it to even come down to goal difference, we would need to add a minimum of 3 to put us on 46, and they would need to have 2 games where they lost at least one goal on goal difference, taking them to 38. So as long as they don't win the other two games by a combined 9 goals, all we need to do is win 1-0.

Newcastle and "should win" do not go together!!
Did you watch the game??

4 goals in 10 games and not a single win in them, even if they win two games it may still send them down.

A lot of neutral fans were waxing lyrical about Hodgson in a thread about manager of the year on a forum I go on. They said he's done a fantastic job with the resources he has, yet there are only about five teams who've scored less goals and Stoke aren't a million miles behind them having only just come up last season. Had to laugh at the bitters displacing villa after all the hyping up of villa's Champions League push - I gather the goners have sewn up 4th with three games to go (four for villa!)

That was all too easy in the end, a poor display by the barcodes who started like Messiah Number Nine was actually motivating them. In the end it didn't take too much to maul them, Dirky Boy's MOTM display putting them away without ever quite putting them to the sword with some misses.

I've seen and heard talk about the manc penalty all week, how it changed the game bla bla bla. Well our first was so close to offside some might argue that was a crucial decision. I think it was just about level when Kuyt drove it across goal to Benayoun, but I've seen them given off. I couldn't believe Kuyt lost his marker so easily for his goal, although he probably should have got an earlier header on target. Alonso hit the bar twice, as did Gerrard. Quite funny to see Lucas head a goal late on, I beat She-Ra is furious about the marking on that one.

Barton's needless assault on Alonso deserved red, may well see him fined yet there will always be someone keeping him in football when I reckon a spell in the army would do him no harm at all - or in the nick.

Newcastle are our favourite opposition in the Premiership, that was our 19th win over the barcodes and we've beaten noone more often.

Wins Opposition (Games)

19 Newcastle (32 games)
18 Aston Villa (34 games)
15 West Ham (27 games)
15 Tottenham (33 games)
14 Leeds Utd (24 games)
14 Blackburn (30 games)
14 bitters (34 games)
14 Arsenal (34 games)

Lucas' was our 66th goal against Newcastle in the Premiership, NINE more than against anyone else (villa 57, spudz 55, the rest less than 50)

LANDMARK(S) APPROACHING - we are just seven goals shy of 500 under Rafael Benitez, do-able this season given we have to play WBA although spudz and West Ham may make it more unlikely than likely we'll score the 500th this season. Benayoun's goal was our 300th in the Premiership under Rafa and we are just five home wins shy of 100 under Rafa, but that won't happen until next season.

Can't shake my gut feeling that I woke up with though that we are going to drop points today.....hoping I am massively wrong.

Up the Reds.

Just managed to see the highlights...looked like a showcase game for us...glad my fears were unfounded.

It was THEIR best player.

Anyone know how many barcodes players have been sent off at Anfield? Feels like it's a not uncommon occurence.

And did anyone hear a stat about the previous time we scored 3+ goals five games in a row?
