I still feel we need a bigger squad somewhat to really get consistant in our play, if we could do that we would be world beaters.

2mins stoppage is that bloody all?.

We have missed Garcia he was great the first half, but does anyone agree we play more fluently with Hamman in the side? I know there was no room for him today, but he protects the back four and when him Gerrard and Alonso play are passing is much better :)

game over.

Negatives

1)we deffo need a right winger. Garcia is not really good there.

2)Hyppia ......i don't know what to say about him. He is beginning to make a lot of mistakes. He was absolute world class against the blue sh**, but against pompey & newcastle he was very mediore. He looked better once baros scored. But can't imagine what would have happened if blame me ( :p ) had played. But hamann did not play. So hyppia did ok if you consider that. But we need a new pacy centreback.

3)We created loads of chances. I am leaning towards morientas now. He wold have scored a hatrick of headers against newcastle today. Hopefully we get him.

4)Is it me or the refs and linesman against us. How can that be a goal...... WTF.

5)Baros & Given jump together for the ball. nothing wrong with that. Baros did not foul given but graham balls still blows.

Great stuff :

1)Carra has to be the best centreback in england now. No wonder inter wants him.
2)Dudek looked good.
3)Kewell did ok.
4)Gerrard had an average game. But any other player would be happy with his contribution.
5)Baros  :D
6)Sinama is great when he comes on against a tiring defence.
7)Finnan, Risse, Alonso & Garcia had a ok game.

Finally after so long we have a game which we had already won in the 70th minute (after the matches against arsenal & olympicos). More relaxed now  :D

well we could play a 4-5-1, with Hamann replacing Mellor.
