Liverpool's best current 11

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Just want too see the difference between what people think is currently our best and strongest first 11 with all players fit can also include formation and subs if you want

For me

                                Pepe

Johnson           Carra           Agger          Aurelio

                       Masher       Aquilani

          Kuyt                Gerrard          Yossi

                                Torres

Subs-

Caverli
Skrtel
Insua
Reira
Lucas
Ngog
Pacheco

For me the formation would be a bit more fluid with Aquilani and Gerrard both being able to swap places throughout the game .

They would both be mine as well it just depends as Riera has good games and ones where he does not do a lot, Kuyt can be the same but does a lot of leg work for the team

                    Reina

Johnson    Carra    Agger    Aurelio

                    Masch

     Gerrard   Aquilani  Riera

                 Yossi

                   Torres

would be quite good I think.

No Lucas?  ???  :D

Hard to argue with that lineup TBH. It makes the most of what we've currently got and gives Aquilani/Gerrard/Benayoun the option of interchanging (Gerrard on the right even). The only real query you may have is Kuyt's ommission but I think on current form others have to be ahead.

I was pretty much expecting Kuyt to be out of some peoples team list and replaced with reira , both would be required depending on the opposition .

I was meaning more the fact that they could easily both be in the strongest first 11 depending on opposition and having yossi in the team who can play both sides adds that option in .

Ie some will have yossi on right instead of kuyt and some on the left instead of reira .

This...although, on last night's evidence, I'd be tempted to switch Aquilani and Gerrard around.  At the very least, they should be given a lot of license to interchange during the course of a match.

I agree both with Fowler's lineup, and your point about swopping roles .

kinda what i had in mind, dosnt really matter how you write it down on the paper  :D seriously though i think that lineup would have all of our best talent on the pitch, with a good natural balance of left footers, right footers, creativity and hard work.

Well, hard to argue with that lineup even if I'd change Carra and Agger since Agger is left footed.

And if it at least doesn't get a chance in a few games I'll be disappointed. Which means I will be disappointed  :(
