Allen all day... definitely. Henderson offers us energy and the ability to run, Allen is similar, Lucas offers us nothing!

Lucas is a different type of player . Your such a knob sometimes stu. Lucas offers us something completely different to Gerrard or Allen . It takes all sorts .

Got to be Joe Allen for me, I don't think a midfield of Gerrard, Lucas and Coutinho would be athletic enough.

Hard luck Hendo - gutted for you son - even more gutted that you found yourself in a poor position due to a Chelsea loan player. Don't know what the fk he was doing on the pitch. Allen can do a decent job until you are available for Newcastle.
Lucas can also be used when necessary.

You could see he was power fagged with 10 mins left and the tackle was a product of the fatigue
as he simply couldn't get there on time.

Lad has run his heart out this season but it was a red card offence.

I won't be surprised if we see a midfield of Gerrard, Allen and Lucas in some of those 3 games. But Rodgers will probably change like for like, so we should expect to see Allen instead of Henderson for our next game.

Anyway, such a shame for Henderson, we will really miss him. I blame Moses the headless chicken for this. I still can't understand why is he getting game time.

Find some of these posts really odd. Moses is a brain dead poor player... But how anyoneaam blame him for hendersons shockingly heavy touch or woeful tackle is complete madness. Henderson has no one to blame but himself. Hopefully it won't prove to costly as the lads had a very good season.

Any chance the red card can be appealed and just get a 1 or 2 game suspension for the foul?

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Gutted for Henderson and no doubt he will be a big miss, particularly against Chelsea and their powerful midfield. Allen is the obvious replacement, there is no obvious drop off in terms of mobility, pace and the ability to press with Joe in the side. If it's Lucas then it does completely change the dynamic of our midfield. I would hope. To see Lucas on the bench for the last four games with the option of bringing him on as a spoiler/physical presence (see West Ham) as and when it's needed.

the way i am thinking is this,
how can someone who just came onto the field with an open pitch to run at, with no pressure around him, able to dribble the ball into an opposition player? moses is that bad a player.
hendo was tired, committed a mistake, went to draw a foul to delay time and got send off.
and i wont fault him for that.

Henderson has been a different player this season. But, he was all at sea yesterday with his passing and running.
He was a disaster waiting to happen and though Im gutted for him missing the next three games, maybe its fate?
Nows the time for Allen and Lucas to step up and stake their claim

We could appeal the red but if the appeal is deemed frivolous, which almost certainly is would, the band woudl most likely be extended beyond the standard 3 game ban for a straight red.

Why even appeal it ?

Hate to say it but his response too his poor touch and subsequent tackle on the City player deserved the card, if only because he was fking stupid.
