Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

We need to start weeding them out and stop desperately hanging onto ordinary players to justify the academy and feed fans hunger for the next Gerrard, home grown heroes.

I dont think it helps giving false hope either, move the lad on and let him play and enjoy being a proper adult footballer and take his career from there.

You can always factor in kickbacks if they are under contract to protect yourself if they wind up at Real Madrid.

A lot of people had high hopes for him but in fairness if he was told back on 1st January then clearly it's a 'regular' decision. Shame, I wish him well.

Yep good luck to the lad, shame it didn't work out for him here but I suspect by the time Jurgen has finished his rebuild he won't be the only one leaving. As Danny Drinkwater has recently shown getting released by your parent club doesn't mean that you can't go on to have a great career, even if that parent club is Liverpool or Manchester United.
