Unfortunately he is BR's favourite pet and has been given time to prove himself and he blew it today. Send him back to Swansea please.

Sorry but disagree with this post completely. I'm by no means Allen's biggest fan and certainly don't think the lads a class player. The miss was extremely costly also but to blame this on him today is ridiculous. The lad gave absolutely everything he had before he was subbed and more than put a shift in. Some of his closing down was exceptional and he was tidy on the ball.

No complaints about his performance today.

johnson looked like someone who had been on the ale the night before, it took him an age to react to anything.

he didn't look match fit to me, which is hardly surprising when you consider his recent injuries.

By his performance i would say he has been drinking for a decade now.....Glen's abilities on attack tend to disguise his mediocre career as a defender...
But that's beside the point as Joe is playing a different position altogether. If it wasn't for his horrific miss we  would probably look at his performance with a slighter forgiving mode.

terrible miss from allen but overall he wasnt the worst. his confidence will take a serious battering after it and it couldnt have come at a worse time for the lad.
for me we cant afford to have too many players in the side thats just solid but nothing exceptional. lucas, allen, and henderson ere all just workers.

It is a miss but not as bad as everyone is making out and I've seen strikers miss that. It is clear he went to fake the goalie (which he did) by side footing it near post as the goalie came out and made the goal small, problem is he over cooked it. He should have scored certainly but it was not bad enough to slate him despite how he played (or sub him for that matter). Taking him off was a gamble that could have backfired.

Subbing him off was the right choice. The miss obviously got in his head and had a bad effect on his game. We needed the extra striker anyways

They became much stronger in midfield when Allen came off and they had a couple of chances and eventually scored. All I am saying it could easily have backfired to take a midfielder off for a striker when the midfield battle was so tight.

was watching on a dodgy stream but i thought Allen did well last night.
Obviously it wasn't the most difficult game but still.

Allen had a good game last night.
Norwich were awful but he still played well.

The thing I like about him is how quickly he moves the ball.
It creates space pulling players out of position.

I thought him and Coutinho linked well. Good to see that Rodgers has seen what we have about Lucas's contribution...or lack of it.

first 15 minutes he was very very sloppy, kept giving the ball away, maybe down to confidence, but then it got better for him in the 2nd half and his movement was good. He also offered something more in possession which is always nice to see!
