Never liked him. Too angry, too rash , flying into tackles with both feet, constant chuntering to the ref when the decision is obvious. He would even start back chatting refs when it didn't involve him.

Liability. Too many red cards, too many yellow cards. It was a matter of time before he broke someones leg.

I personally will be very worried if they are the central two Roy has planned for this season.
Hopefully either Gerrard goes back in or he signs someone else.
I suppose we will have to wait and see what happens.
Rafa wasted the Alonso money. Lets hope IF Roy is given the Mascherano money that he doesnt do the same.

I believe shevy has alot more quality than spearing. hopefully Roy will be adventurous enough to use him. People say wenger is a genius because he manages to turn alot of unknown youngsters into household names. He is a genius but the truth is that you need to have the guts to use them first.

Shevy seems more of a box to box midfielder than either Spearing or Masch.  I definitely think Shev's got more potential than Spearing but right now Spearing is better imo.

Mash was one of our key players and will be missed.  Poulsen needs to step up to the plate and play like the player he was before he moved to Juventus.

We lost Alonso and now Mash yet we have players still at the club who are not good enough to take us forward.

As much as we want our players to be proud and full of passion, we need players who have quality to go with it.
