Most are more twisted than bitter; their logic re football is very twisted

Only professional to - play in goal (41 appearances), Defence, Midfield, Striker, and later be Director and then to be Manager (winning a Championship) - at one club

from bluekipper :

Once again we can thank our shi.te neighbours for the debacle that has potentially been created at Nuremberg. :D

All Evertonians want is to see a game of footie on the continent (20 years too late, mind). Thanks to those scummers we (the fans) are still paying the price for their antics.

The capacity at Nuremberg is well enough to house the massive travelling support that is Everton FC.

UEFA in their wisdom have now cancelled the tickets bought by Evertonians outside of Germany. Platini you truly are a dickhead. Do you assume that those who will have bought their tickets in this way (myself include) will now not travel? Of course we will - but because of your intervention on the back of our gobsh.ite neighbours previous vile behaviour - you have now created a potential problem.

When I arrive in Nuremberg with thousands of my fellow blues only to be told there is no ticket for me it could go one of two ways;

1. I could behave like a gobs.*i*e LFC fan and cause havoc in Nuremberg, storm the gates or steal a valid ticket from my fellow supporters. After urinating in the street and behaving like a wild animal I will return to complain the the Liverpool (FC) ECHO and blame every Tom, Dick and Harry under the sun for the chaos caused.

or

2. I could (and of course will) behave like a normal human being. Dissapointed yes, drunk probably, well behaved -absolutely. My love for my team is much stronger than any ill feeling toward any other person (football supporter or not). I have no desire to inflict harm on people nor to smash up a bar nor be a nuisance - I am an Evertonian and thankfully (especially for you Mr Platini),Evertonians know how to behave. Yes you loveable bloos are angels.

Anyone thinking of complaining to the ECHO don't bother, they don't give one. The same can probably be said about the club whose reaction (i.e. none) is what we have all come to expect. Well played EFC once again - it's a good job it's the Club we love.

COYB FTRS

See you all for a Stein or two.

Ffs you'd think it was a cup final the way they talk about it, like in the same class as what istanbul/athens was too us. All this "mass exodus" boll#cks. f#ckin hell, uefa cup first group stage against no mark german club.

And another thing, whats all this "20years late, had murder with the neighbours" stuff theyre putting on banners? Did they not qualify for Europe in 95 after the FA cup win? Oh no sorry, they did, but f#cked it up.

I watched about 20 mins of the second half (thankfully I had stopped watching before they scored) but I thought they actually played decent football tonight. Maybe the opposition wern't up to much, but it was certainly better than the usual lump it long and chase that Everon usually serve up.

Ive got this song stamped on my brain now ! Laugh everytime I hear it!

Bitterness (aimed at those bitter blues)
(to the tune of Ken Dodds - Happiness)

(chorus)
Oh bitterness, bitterness
The only thing the blues possess,
I thank the lord that I’ve been blessed,
With none of the blueshite bitterness….

To me this world is a wonderful place,
A red and white glow all over my face,
I feel so good to be alive,
European cups, oh we’ve got five….

(chorus)

The bitters were living in a land of dreams,
“you’ll lose if you ever face a decent team”
But Juventus, Chelsea and Milan tried,
They all got beat so the blueshite cried….

(chorus)

At half time AC thought they had us beat,
The blueshite were dancing in the North Wales streets,
But Stevie G played like a man possessed,
So all they’ve got now is their bitterness….

(chorus)

They said Milan Baros was offside,
They say Steven Gerrard took a dive,
They say Jerzy Dudek shouldn’t have no pride,
But they’ve got none and we’ve got FIVE….

(chorus)

Oh bitterness, bitterness,
The only thing that they possess,
If it wasn’t for Heysel they would be the best,
But they prefer living in bitterness.
Bill Shankly: “I was the best manager in Britain because I was never devious or cheated anyone. I’d break my wife’s legs if I played against her, but I’d never cheat her.”
