Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I am not sure whether he is lazy or just unfit.

His many injuries has destroyed his career. And now that he is loaded with cash he doesn't really care anymore. Get a young hungry player instead. Looking forward to the arrival of speedy gonzales.
If football is banned in heaven. I'd rather go to hell.

I think Sissoko performed much worse than Kewell. It was like he was playing in the seventies and seemed to get white-line fever. Sissoko was an embarassment.

On a positive note, I'd to say good on Crouch for really threatening the goal. Unlucky to not get the penalty which I'm sure the boys would let him have a crack with them 2-0 up. I know I've been critical of Crouch but I htink he was plain unlucky with that call and a fantastic performance by the Sunderland keeper.

Ihate to say this.. Kewell is a useless :censored: :censored:. He pretends some one is behind him when he lets the ball go acting as if its the others fault for not following him. He refuses to run for the ball Gerrard passed towards his end. He did not put enough effort.

He is not working hard and thinks that anyway Liverpool had won the game. This is the attitude I hate to watch . In fact he would be a disease to the club. It would eventually spoil the system.

I wish he is out of Liverpool. Anyone's birthday coming soon?  Wish the same when you blow the candle.! :pirate

You are clearly clueless and know nothing about football.

If that is your rationale, why did he fire so well for the Aussies in the 2nd match against Uruguay?? Money is hardly the incentive there...

Besides, the touch is coming back and who could blame the lad for wanting to ensure he is going to 100% for the long term. He wouldn't want to be booed again like he was after the CL final in Istanbul... :glare:

Lion, I'm sorry, but when when Gonzo comes, Kewell is out. I've seen speedy many, many times playing for La U de Chile, and he is fantastic. Speeds is in a different class, and he will be the future captain of Chile, he is so talented at attacking the fullbacks, as well as whipping in those crosses, even defending up the pitch, you wouldn't know he is such a young player. He is very mature for his age, and when he starts to get match fit, Kewell will struggle to get game time, and be left frustrated.

I love Kewell, his performance against Urgay was courageous, but he has made a hole for himself long ago, and when Gonzo comes, Kewell will have to settle playing for another club. January, his time is up.

For Liverpool's sake, I hope you're right. Personally speaking, I believe Kewell has a few more good years in him and whether it's at LFC or abroad, I wish him luck.

If he is to be sold, I would rather he went abroad than to a Premiership side.

I think he may suprise some folk with his performances, though.

We support our players in two ways. No. 1 Critic.

There were so many critics made against Crouch including myself. With that Crouch tried over and over and over in Betis match. I respected him for that. Remember how Gerrrad helped Crouch over and over again and people cheered and applauded his exit. Thats the supportive type, the second kind.

Now his hard work is paying off. Had there been no critics, I bet Crouch will slouch.

Kewell is slouching. He is nesting in comfort in Anfield. Some players tend to do that until they are under pressure. From my eyes, he has failed to prove that he is at least trying to improve.  He is putting on a show.

Special Reply :
Leonmac 0708, D zad  & Aussiekopite are certainly judging prejudicially.Nothing solid to defend Kewell except injuries. Caragher came back from a broken leg and see his first match when he returned. What u have to say for that.? Kewell's injury is worst that Carraghers?

He has some problems mentally. He thinks he is safe at Anfield because he can play right and left and as a centre forward. He thinks he is good in all positions. He is not?

Did anyone watch his corner kicks? He doesn't have to run a good 10 yard to kick the ball. He is just kicking the ball to the D box from an idle position. Look how poor the crosses were in Wigan's game and Sunderland's game.

You have to rate Kewell's  overall performance in Liverpool. I dont give a :censored: if he is good in his national team. That can be bragged in other websites... no in Liverpool Fan Club

Unfair of you people to comment on Sisoko. Sisoko has been outstanding all along. He got a 2 yellow cards so what. He plays and wins and tackles. Ok.. some foolish ones. It s nothing compared to Kewell's attitude problem. At least Sisoko plays all out. We need someone like him there.
But certainly Rafa has been blowing the trumpet for Kewell. A manager does that for two reason:
1. To claim that the player he had purchased is potential
or
2. To promote a player to increase his price prior to a sale.

Kewell was not his purchase. I certainly think its a marketing move.???

Easy to summarise: Harry Kewell is a pr!ck because for someone who is on 65 grand a week, he plays like a sissy, puts no effort at all, does not do any kind of worthwhile defending and has a tiny heart. Even Luis Garcia is doing his fair share of defending. Look at Crouch, his work rate can never be questioned.

Kewell is no Eto'o or Ronaldinho, if so his laziness can be excused. Rafa Benitez has been very patient with this fellow, as have all of us but he still doesn't show any commitment.

The big question is, who will want him and pay his ludicrous wages? He will choose not to go, rot in the squad and collect his 65 grand a week like Borgade at Chelsea.

kewell is out,i heard that gonzo is a player similer to duff at chelsea and loves dribbling an attacking the byline to cross, this is something kewell has not done since his early days at leeds, since the ankle injury in 2001 he has not been the same player,he has lost 2 yards of pace ,hence that is why you do not see him beating fullbacks anymore, gonzo is the future now and should be the new number "7"

You silly nugget.

People who go to the game or even those who watch on the box.  Will know that since Harry has come back from his latest injury, he has been very good.   Yet there is still a lot more to come from Harry, but with fans like you arround who are just waiting for the next missed timed pass, or over hit cross, so you can get on his case and say to your jester hat wearing mate next you I told you so.  He will find it difficult to recapture his form.  Why not give the lad a chance and SUPPORT him.
