I just want to get back to work as I have never been out of work since I left school which include the Army and Fire Brigade so I hardly been a couch potato.. when things looked really bad I have a replica European Cup which I asked my best mate should the worse happen is to take my ashes to Leppings Lane and scatter them on the terrace. Then had the cup etched with the words JFT96. 15/4/1989. RIP
Gees mate and to think I moan about my arthritic finger and a few aches and pains! Your experience certainly hits home. The head is a bit of a b.ugger to say the least. I'm sure you're getting professional help to overcome the mental anguish caused by what must have been an incredibly frightening experience. Send me a PM if you need the recommendation of an extremely skilled counsellor who takes a slightly different approach.
If you haven't been to Oz before then it's certainly a great place to get you back on the road to positive thinking and a full recovery. They have a great outdoor lifestyle and a fantastic attitude to life. No worries is their catchphrase and they live by it. Spending some time there could be as beneficial as sitting in a private room going over your experience with a stranger.
Great to hear that physically you are going in the right direction. Good luck in the future.
