Owen mugging Arsenal in the 2001 cup final
Alonso's 70 yarder against Newcastle
Luis Garcia's magical finish against Juventus in the CL quarter final

and many more, so many it's almost impossible to choose but in the end I'll go for Gerrards strike against Olympiakos, a brilliant brilliant strike that set up our return to the top tier of European footy.

Gotta go for one of Gerrards against Olympiakos or the West Ham goal. 2 very important goals that helped us to win trophies.

Mind you, you wont see many better free kicks then Aurelio's against the Mancs at OT 2 years back.

i could pick any one of about ten gerrard strikes down the years. that's how good he is. for most players half of his best goals would be the best goals of their careers. for gerrard it's just the norm.

it's all subjective at the end of the day. fowler against villa when he nutmegged staunton with a cruyff turn is one of my personal favourites for exaxmple. just genius. i was sat right behind it.

Don't forget the king of all free-kicks. Riise's thunderbolt against the mancs.

How about Fowler's 1st strike (of 2) against the mancs at Old Trafford. Cantona was returning after his suspension for the kung fu kick at and it was all about him. So much so that when we went 2-1 up against them they give them a penalty that wasn't. But, even so, that first strike by Robbie was one of the most sweetest strikes I ever saw

Tommy Smith's header against Borussia M in the 1977 European Cup final.

Goals have to be taken in their individual context, 1-1 looking for a goal, corner in from Heighway on teh left and its in the net... who was it as it wasn't clear... Tommy Smith!  Incredible - in fact that header was as perfect as Stevie's in the 2005 final.

dunno bout individual goals but for me th most perfect performance contained 5 goals - versus Forest back in 87/88 at Anfield... love t see th like of Gerrard an Suarez playin in wi that team, tho i aint got a clue who i'd take out t squeeze em in!!
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

I used to have a VHS of that Forest game...... Platini was there and when he was interviewed afterwards he said it was the most complete Club performance he'd ever seen......

Too many to choose from...

McManaman's goal against Celtic where he dribbled past half their team was a cracker.  I loved McAllister's free kick v Everton.  Gerrard's scored so many unbelievable goals though, you could pick any one of about ten.

A match against Spurs that Liverpool won 7-0 but one of the goals was an excellent team goal. It went from the keeper (Clemence), touched about three or four Liverpool players on the way to the goal. The ball did not touch the ground until it was in the net, I think Johnson scores with a header. Great team goal but there have also been many other excellent individual goals.
