Read it somewhere that the board were seeking legal advice might even have been on the TV site.  I think they are fed up with the speculation, now he might still go but they are denying any deals already done.

Personally I believe the board as the price might go up and say hypothetivally he suffers a horrific injury does the deal still go ahead. Too many variables

I imagine he is being chased by a few clubs and we should not discount Man Utd if it becomes a money argument as Fergie would love to have him then again who wouldnt but it has been denied categorically that a deal has already been done

Here it is gentlemen, yesterday's BBC "gossip column" reports that the S*n says Stevie's been seen house-hunting in Surrey.

Surrey schmurrey

1) Stevie earns more money than he knows what to do with - he's got do do SOMETHING with it other than stuff it in his post office savings account. He'll have a wide investment portfolio already and a house in Surrey would be a valuable addition to any millionaire's portfolio. Surrey is top of the league for places most enviable in which to live (can't think why personally but there you go) which makes any property there a good long term investment

2) Anyone remember the same Chelsea/Arsenal rumours floating around when Robbie was buying places all over west London? Exactly. Robbie was very well advised (financially) at the time to invest his huge amounts of spare dosh in London property, hence why he's now one of England's richest sportsmen. Was he going to Chelsea or Arsenal? Was he bollox
